CHAPTER THREE: AMERICAN SPIRIT

8 months later-
“Matt, wake up love,” I said shaking him awake before he shot up.
“Dan-Dan what’s wrong?”
“I have to go to the hospital, Reese is in labor!” I said happily.
“Scarlett’s gonna be born!” he said cheerfully and wide awake before he got dressed and ran out to start the car, letting me put my jacket on before I joined him.
“Matt, I’m scared, what if something’s wrong with Scarlett, what if it’s a stillbirth?”
“Calm down Danny, it’ll be okay. I talked to her about who takes Scarlett and when, since you’re in Hollywood Undead now. she said she’ll take her when we’re on tour, and when we get back, then the next day Scarlett will be there.” he said calming me down some.
“Thank you, Matty I love you,” I said laying my head on his arm that was resting on the center council. I love his ensuring smile, the way he treats me, and makes me feel important. I thought as I looked at him that smile, so comforting, his energy vibe is energetic, sweet, and caring.
“I love you too baby angel.”

-Arriving at the hospital-

“Name?” the nurse asked and I smiled.
“Daniel Rose Murillo, I’m here to see my ex-girlfriend, she’s giving birth to my child.”
“Follow me,” the nurse said and I followed. Until we heard screaming, Reese must be in labor.
“We got here as soon as we could sorry Reese!” I said rushing to her side letting her squeeze my hand and Matt took her other hand.

“God! She’s strong!”Matt grunted as a look of pain spread on his face, making it turn a pinkish-red
“Sorry boys!” she cried as she gave a final push before her hands loosened and fell while the heart monitor started beeping slower and slower. I looked at the doctor who was fixed on getting the Scarlett out.
“Doc, Reese’s heartbeat is getting dangerous!” I tried to stay calm but worry still showed itself. The doctor looked at the monitor before handing Scarlett to the nurse before we had to leave the room. So we could give the doctor some time to save Reese.
“What’s her name gonna be?”
“Scarlett Eve Murillo.”
“Scarlett Eve Murillo, it sounds perfect!” Matt said hugging me.

-Three Days Later(Scarlett’s first day at home)-

“Matt, I’m home!”I announced as I walked inside, only to be greeted by George.
“Awe, she’s such a cutie! What’s her name?”
“Scarlett Eve Murillo” I smiled, trying not to think about her mom who passed away after giving birth.
“Hey Scarlett, hi!” he cooed at her before I spoke up.
“Wanna hold her?” I asked and he nodded before taking her into his hands.
“Who’s the prettiest youngin in the world? Yeah, it’s you! Yeah!” he cooed more while he walked into the room where the others were.
“I wanna make two announcements, first off, the one, the only baby girl, Scarlett Eve Murillo is here so no bad things in this house, second off,” I began to trail off thinking how I was gonna put this, “her mother passed away while giving birth to this beautiful girl. So I might not be available 24/7 as I have her to take care of, I will be the mom she never had,” I explained and they nodded in understanding.

“And I will be the father, even though she is not my child, I will still treat her like she is,” Matt says standing up to hug me,  making me smile.
“This comes with responsibility Matt.” I said before continuing, “no more parties, no more drinking, and smoking in the house.”
“Unless we have one of our parents babysit at their house.” I nodded.

“Can I hold her Danielthan?”Jorel asked and I nodded.
“You don’t need to ask me unless I don’t trust you with my life when your drunk. Which the only person that I don’t trust like that, is Jordan.”I smiled sweetly at him.
“Hey now!” Jordan spoke loudly.
“Like I said. Don’t worry Jordan, one day you’ll be able to watch her by yourself.”
“Can I at least hold her with supervision?” I nodded while sighing.
“Jordan, see how I’m holding her?” Jorel asked watching Jordan smile and nod. “This is the Only way you can hold her, she’s not old enough to be held by your side yet, and with that she was in Jordans arms.
“Hey Scarlett, it’s your uncle Jordan, yeah! Hey little princess!” Jordan cooed at Scarlett making her giggle. I looked at George who had his phone pointed at Jordan and Scarlett.
