Our group are on a bus towards the outskirts of Petalburg City where May and Max live. Their parents have offered the spare bedroom for Ash and Gou. It's really kind of them. Gou just stares out the window while Ash plays catch up with May and Max. He feels a little guilty about threatening Max but he just can't risk Ash finding out that he was crying because knowing Ash, he'll annoy him to no end until he finds out why Gou was crying. Gou could lie but...he doesn't want to lie...but he doesn't want to tell Ash the truth either. He doesn't really know what to do. So, he just watches the streets of Petalburg City whizz by.

"We're home!" May shouts as they enter the house. Caroline, May and Maxs' Mum emerges from the livingroom."Welcome back! And Ash! It's so great to see you again!" She says with a smile.
"It's nice seeing you again, too! Thank you so much for letting us stay with you. You really didn't have to do that." Ash replies.
"Not at all! We couldn't have you staying in a hotel. Norman and I are happy to let you both stay here!" Caroline says before turning her attention to the stranger peering shyly from behind Ash.
"And you must be Gou! It's nice to meet you!" She says.
"I-it's nice to meet you too, ma'am! And thank you for letting us stay here" He responds bowing slightly.
"It's no problem at all, please make yourself at home and call me Caroline."

Gou looks round the dinner table. There's laughter and general merriment as Ash eats, laughs and chats with everyone. Gou feels completely awkward. There are so many inside jokes that he doesn't understand. Ash and May re-tell stories of their journey together. He can also feel Max staring at him. He knows he should apologise but, it'll cause an awkward conversation that he doesn't want to have. Especially with a stranger...that he only met a few hours ago...that's friends with Ash.
He needs to apologise though. He knows that. He just has to find a good moment to talk to Max.
"Gou?" Ash says interrupting Gous' train of thought.
"What?" Gou responds.
"You're very quiet, you alright?" Ash asks curiously.
"Y-Yeah!" Gou quirks as everyone stares at him. His cheeks start to turn red from embarrassment. "I-I'm just very tired, I think I'm going to turn in early. Thank you for the meal!" He says promptly getting out of the chair and walking upstairs to the bedroom. He closes the door behind him and leans against it. He's panting, cheeks still red from embarrassment. This is going to be a long week. He changes out of his clothes, puts out the light and crawls under the covers of the blowup bed. He lost the coin toss so, Ash gets the actual bed. The blowup bed is actually comfortable though so, it's not a big deal. He pulls the covers over his head, closes his eyes and just tries to forget it all.
*Door opens*
"Well that was rude!" Ash says putting on the light causing a groan from the pile of covers on the blowup bed. "What is up with you!?" Ash asks which doesn't get a response.
"Gou!" Ash says walking towards the mattress. Still no response.
Ash is getting irritated by Gou's lack of a response to his question.
"Answer me!" Ash demands pulling the covers off of Gou.
"What the hell, Ash!" Gou complains.
"What is going on with you!" Ash asks.
"Nothing!" Gou responds.
"There's obviously something wrong! You've been acting weird for a while now. Talk to me!" Ash pleads.
"No! Just drop it, Ash!"
"Gou, seriously..."
"Would you just fuck off!" Gou huffs.
Ash is taken aback. He's never seen Gou like this before. Something is seriously wrong but what Gou said was quite hurtful:
"Fine! Whatever!" Ash groans storming out of the room.
"Fine!" Gou shrugs pulling the covers back over his head.
He wants to forget. He wants to forget everything that's happened.
