Kurapika Simp Guide

"Will you marry me?"

Today was Thursday, which meant Kurapika had to work with Melody for the Nostrode family. Leaving Leorio home alone with a day off. Ever since the QnA, the thought of marriage was bouncing around in his head

"Maybe I should propose... I mean we've been together for years now... I'd turn to Kurapika for this kind of stuff, but this is about him.."

Struggling with this thought in his mind, Leorio decided it was best that he went out for a while. Maybe even buy some things. Going with this idea, he walked over to the door, slipped on his shoes, and headed out the door.

Meanwhile with Kurapika...

"You seem uneasy. Is something important on your mind?"

Kurapika and Melody were standing outside of the Nostrode house, keeping guard. The thought of marriage also was pondering in Kurapika's mind. Of course, Melody could tell.

"How'd you know?"

Melody turned over to Kurapika and pointed to her heart

"Oh. Well.. yes actually. Something is on my mind, and it's big."

"I can tell. What is it?"

"I.. went on some QnA thing with Leorio, and someone asked when I was.. gonna propose.."

"That's wonderful, however, I see that a small of you is troubled by it. 

"It's true.. I'm afraid that Leorio may not take it seriously, and things are perfect right now. I don't really want things to change right now"

"I see. Well, even though I have no say in what happens, I think you should go for it. I mean, you do love him, right?

"But.. I don't even know how it would happen. I mean who proposes? We're both guys after all"

"What does that matter? In a straight relationship, the woman can propose if they want, right?"(quick life lesson! Not all women use she\her pronouns!)

"Of course they can"

"Exactly, so it doesn't matter who proposes"

"Wow... Thank you, Melody, you've helped me see a new perspective on this whole thing... I'm gonna do it"

"That's wonderful. Let me know if you need any advice or reassurance."

"I will. Thank you aga-"

"Pika! Where are you?!"

Inside the mansion, you could see Neon running around, searching for Kurapika

"Oh no... I better go"

Back with leorio...

"Hey Leorio, what'd you want to talk about?"

Leorio was standing in front of Gon and Killua, who he had called beforehand to ask for advice.

"I wanted to ask you guys something.. Y'know personal.."

"Ew.. why talk to us about this stuff? Why not Kurapika?"

"It's because it's about him!"

"Is kurapika alright?" 

"Don't worry, he's alright... Actually, I want to.. propose to him"

"Woah! That's huge! When are you gonna do it?"

"honestly, I don't know if I'm going to..."

"Huh? Why not?"

"I'm just not sure if he'll say yes"

"I think you should. I mean you guys have been together for a really long time now, and I think it'd make him really happy"

"You make a good point. What do you think, killua?"

"Eh, I really don't care, but if you really like him then do it"

"Alright... Thanks, guys I better head home now. I'll see you around"

"Bye Leorio!"

"Yeah, see you old man!"

Even though the comment bothered Leorio, he let it roll off his back. He was too happy. The two kids gave leorio a new encouragement to ask for kurapika's hand in marriage.

Timeskip 'till Kurapika gets home

"I'm home!"

As soon as Kurapika entered the house, he kicked off his small blue shoes and set them neatly by the coathanger. Walking further into the house, the more curious he grew to see where Leorio was. Eventually, he was found sitting in the shared study room at a desk with his phone. Once Leorio realized that Kurapika was standing behind him, he quickly turned his phone off.

"Babe? Are you cheating on me?"

"ha, of course not. How was work?"

"What do you think? I work for neon. every day's a living hell with that kid"

Saying that kurapika walked over and slumped over to the cold, black office chair that wasn't far away

"heh, glad I don't work for her"

Kurapika was tempted to bring up the whole marriage thing that's been on his mind, but he resisted. Kurapika wanted to keep it a surprise. With Melody's encouragement, he decided that it was the right time to propose...
