Where Is My Mind?

Lockdown day came around and all the guys mood changed very quickly. Zak and Aaron in particular were being very quiet and keeping themselves to themselves. I had been assigned the job of transportation, taking them to and from the location before and after the lockdown.

I sat in the room. Watching tv had become a little boring. Zak hadn't been in the hotel room all day. I wasn't very involved with this lockdown since it was my first experience in the field. So, to keep myself from joining the spirit world from dying of boredom, I decided to go shopping. I sent a text to Zak explaining that I'd be back in time to take them to location and I grabbed my jacket on the way out the hotel room.

There was shops all over New York so of course everything was in walking distance of our hotel. I went into a few shops and bought a few things here and there. I then spotted a sex and underwear shop. I titled my head, thinking for a moment...

Zak hadn't said anything else about being my first. He'd agreed and I think now and then, he was thinking about it the way he looked at me but I was inexperienced in everything. My underwear draw looked like it belonged to the geekiest girl in high school and I wanted to be irresistible for him. I bit the bullet and headed in. Upon browsing I was amazed at all the gorgeous colours and I picked my sizes up and put them in the basket as I went. When I got to the outfit section for costumes and stuff. I felt daunted. He wouldn't be expecting this from me.

"Can I help you, ma'am?" A lady asked.

"I'm a virgin and the man I'm popping it with is...well, gorgeous" I admittedly shyly. "I want to look elegant and irresistible."

She beamed like she was happy for me and she gestured towards the underwear and I guess I had to follow her since she obviously knew what she was doing. She picked up various short silk dresses. Night gowns. She held one up that particularly caught my eye. It was a burgundy red with black lace and it was beautiful.

"That's it, that's what I need!" I smiled.

I paid for all my new underwear and my new de-virgination night gown. I had a vision of it now, him touching me all over wearing it. I could feel myself blush and I headed back to the hotel. Thankfully, He was in Aarons room when I came back so I could hide the bags in the wardrobe for later to pack.

I drove through the traffic and when we got to the location, I grabbed Zak's wrist to stop him getting out so quickly.

"Be careful" I whispered, "There's something dark here."

"I know, I will" He promised, he took my hand and kissed the back of it before getting out and shutting the door. I sighed and sat back. What was I doing? Why did fate want me with this man?

I went back to the hotel room and packed my suitcase, I left clothes out for tomorrow's trip back to Vegas. I sat on the edge of Zak's bed, looking out over the skyline of Vegas.

"What do you have planned for me?" I asked aloud, looking down.

The feelings were foreign to me. Everybody always rejected me except Daisy. Even my parents had so the feeling of the guys and the connection they had as friends, as family. I wanted that. I wanted to be wanted but how wanted was I by Zak?

I'd managed to get up around five in the morning and I got showered, I got dressed and headed back to the location. When I pulled up at six, I saw everyone but Zak standing outside. I got out and headed over to them.

"Zak's still inside" Aaron answered my unasked question. "Something affected him pretty bad. He won't come out."

I nodded and headed into the bar. I paused just after entering seeing him sitting on a barstool. I walked over and sat beside him.

"What happened?" I asked softly.

"I got taken over last night. It went black and it was like I saw inside it's mind. It's thoughts. It wanted my body and it wanted me out" He explained, "At what point, Aurora...do I admit this is affecting me and walk away?"

"Listen to me" I frowned, "This is who you are and this is what you're good at it. These things, they bring you down. Trust me, I know but this is your life, your passion. Don't you dare walk away if you don't have to."
