The Lost Best Friend From Out Of Time

I am texting Tony telling him that everything is okay as Sam sits next to me reading a magazine, Steve is in the hospital bed passed out, I look up when I hear shuffling on the left side.

"On your left." Steve said in a tired voice making me smile as I look up from my phone and Sam smiles as well looking at Steve.

I get up and wiggle my way next to him resting my head on his chest making him smile and kiss the top of my head.

"Your crazy." He said and I roll my eyes.

"How?" I asked looking at him.

"You were trying to talk to someone that wasn't..." Steve started but I cut him off.

"Stevie, I think that Bucky knows who I am but not from when you called out to me, the way he was talking and answering me after, it was like we were having a normal conversation. I think that I am from the 1940's, I should be old but I'm not, I'm lost." I said and Steve sighs as if he's debating with himself.

"What?" I asked and Sam watches on confused.

"When I first met you, I thougt I knew you. I was right, I watched everything you did and I knew the minute you started fighting Bucky that you were her." Steve said confusing me even more.

"What? Steve what are you talking about? Who?" I asked.

"You were Faith Quin back in 1940's, you were a beatuiful girl that had almost every man falling at your feet but the only one that you wanted was someone that cared about you and loved you for who you are, you are still that beatuiful girl and every man is falling over themselves but you are the same girl from the 1940's, you still want someone that cares about you and loves you for who you are. The reason you are still young is because you also did Project Rebirth." Steve whispered

"But that doesn't explain on how I wasn't from here for the longest time." I said and Steve tears up.

"You were apart of Bucky's unit, the three of us were best friends, you and Bucky were both in the military, the two of you were in 107th. At the time you were both taller and stronger than me. After I did Project Rebirth, I was the same height as Bucky but had a bit more muscle than he did, I was apart of the military and was chosen for it because I threw myself on a dud granade not nowing that it was a dud while everyone else ran and took cover when I came out of project rebirth I was recruited to something else and it wasn't what I wanted, I wanted to be apart of the military, when we were chasing Red Skull, at one point we ended up on top pof train, then we were on the side of it at one point, then both you and Bucky fell off the side of train." Steve said holding his tears in.

"And then the two of us were captured by HYDRA and expreamented on, and then I was sent to the world that I came from and Bucky was kept here and turned into the Winter Soldier." I finished as tears spill past Steve's eyes, I wipe them away as he smiles at me.

"So I'm actually from the 1940's? Then how am I 20?" I asked and he shrugs

"I don't know." He said.

"So what now Cap?" Sam asked.

"We'll see." Steve said

A couple weeks later, Tasha has already revealed HYDRA's files to the public. Steve, Sam, Fury and I are standing at Fury's 'grave' as we wait for Natasha.

"So you've experienced this sort of thing before?" Nick asked looking at Steve and I.

"You get used to it." Steve said keeping his eyes forward.

"I should go now. If they ask for me, tell them that I'm right down there." Fury said giving Sam and Steve a firm handshake before hugging me making me smile lightly.

After a little while the three of us hear footsteps coming towards us, we turn around seeing Natasha with a folder in her hands.

"Read this file, okay? Do me a favor and call that nurse." Natasha said making me roll my eyes hard.

"What's with the look?" Natasha asked laughing lightly.

"She's not a nurse." I said
