I haven't done this ship in a while and I got an idea so here you go!
Also, it's an AU where dragon slayers can shift into dragons.
Mario's pov
I was in my cave I was alone I have been since I was young, I shifted into my dragon. I felt the warm sun against my green and grey scales. I let out a yawn as the soft chirping of birds filled my ears.
~~1 hour later~~
David's pov
I groaned as I walked through the forest, I was on a mission to investigate the supposed monster in the forest. This mission seemed useless as nobody even lived by the forest, as I walked the sun was becoming overbearing. Walking towards the sound of running water, there was a dragon, I felt the hairs on the back of my neck rise, the dragon's grey and green wings were wrapped around its body. I felt relieved it was asleep, so this is the monster in the forest.
A sudden shift of the dragon as it stood, a growl came from it "who are you and why are you in my forest?" I tried to answer but I felt myself get dizzy, I hit the floor with a thud.
