the bell rang, signalling that someone had entered the shop, she scanned the place for an empty seat, her eyes fell on a table next to the window, she walked slowly there, ever sudden move she secured her bag close to her, at last, she reached the table and took a seat, she sniffed, she moved her face with her hands, she tried to catch a breath but only to be surprised by her tears falling, she grabbed a napkin and removed them before anyone could notice. the bell rang again, she tried to ignore it but the familiar laugh stung something in her, it was them, they walked happily while they held hands. she got out a book from her bag, and put on headphones, she hoped they wouldn't see her, as she opened a random page, she read through the words but they didn't make any sense as her mind was busy with the two that sat behind her, she heard them whispering 'i love you's
she tried to hold herself together, it was supposed to mean nothing to her, she wasn't supposed to get attached. she moved her hand which made water drops fall on the book. one sentence was clear even after water falling.
'i miss you.'
