" now I've still got a lot of fight left In me". As my favorite song ended I turned off my phone and set it beside me on my small grey and white nightstand.

"Time to get up and prepared for class," I tell myself as I get my black and grey wheelchair near me as I transfer into it and buckle myself up.

Hi, my name is Sofie I am 20 years old and in my first year of college as a business major. I know what you're probably thinking "how can a girl in a wheelchair go to school". Well, I'll tell you from experience it isn't always easy, but I make it work especially with the amazing support of my friends and family.

You see, I was born with something called Spinal Bifida where my spine was out of my back when I was born so I had to go through surgery to correct it. That ultimately has put me paralyzed from the waist down. While some days are harder than others I wouldn't change my life for anything.
