chapter 7

as we all finished up at Starbucks, we got up, threw away our trash, and headed to our respective cars. 

"soo, what was going on between you and Harry when you ordered?" I questioned with a hint of teasing in my voice already knowing because Niall had texted me as soon as they left and told me that Harry had finally asked her out.

" Harry asked me out," she replied cooly.

"How are you not freaking out, j, this is amazing." I beam at her using the nickname I'd had for her since we were kids.

she laughed and said, " oh trust me, I'm freaking out I'm just trying to keep my cool."

" Well, you can come back to my house and I can help you get ready."

"really? she asks

" of course, what are best friends for?" I tell her as we pull into my house.

my house isn't the biggest but it's also perfect for just me, my mom, and stepdad. They have been married for a short time but I love him as he was my own. I don't talk about my real dad and nobody knows the reason why except for Josie since she's my best friend and I tell her everything.

" Okay, what were you thinking about wearing? did you tell you where yall were going?" I bombard her with questions, I think I'm just as excited as she is.

"No, he told me it was a surprise" she sighs I know how much she hates surprises that's another thing we have in common. "all he told me was to dress fancy but casual". "I've got the perfect outfit for you!" I exclaim as I rummage through my closet for something for her to wear. I finally pull out what I'm looking for. it's a simple mid-length black dress that comes right below her thighs, perfect for tonight.

"Sophie.. this is beautiful," she says in awe as she walks toward the dress and tries it on

" This is perfect, thank you so much," she tells me in appreciation

*knock knock*

"I'll get it," I tell Josie as I get up and answer the door finding harry on the other side. He had a dressy shirt on but nothing too fancy.

"ready to go?" He asks Josie as he reaches behind his back and pulls out a bouquet of roses from behind his back

"yes," she smiles as she walks up to him and graciously takes the bouquet from his hands and puts them in a vase with flowers on my kitchen table.

"have fun you two" I yell as they make their way to Harrys car

Harrys pov:

wow. that's all I could think when I saw Josie, she sure looked beautiful. I knew I liked her from the moment I met her at school and I knew I had to just ask her out. The guys wouldn't stop teasing me all the way home when I told him that I had finally did it.

"Alright boys, I'm heading out" I yelled as I walked out the door heading over to Sofie and josies.

as I pull up to the address Josie had given me, I realized it was Sofie's house. it was beautiful. I sat in my car for a few minutes until I got the courage to get out of my car and knock on the door.

When Josie opened the door, I couldn't believe my eyes. I was looking at the most beautiful girl. She had very little make-up on. She looked beautiful, but she looked beautiful even without it, but I wouldn't dare tell her that. After staring at her for a few minutes I pull out the bouquet of roses I held behind my back and handed them to her.

"I wasn't sure what kind you liked so I kinda just guessed," I said embarrassed that she might not like them

"they're perfect harry, thank you," she says appreciatively

"let's go," she says as she takes my hand in hers as we walk to my car.

" do you like Chinese?" I ask her

"yes, that's my favorite" she beams with excitement

"Well, your gonna love this restaurant," I tell her while reaching for her hand.

15 minutes later we pull up to this cute little Chinese restaurant and park in the front. Luckily, there's barely anybody here so the paparazzi hadn't followed us.

" table for two please," I tell the host

The host brings us to a table with a white table cloth and a candlelit in the middle.

" wow harry, this is beautiful" Josie smiles gratefully at me

"Anything for you" I smile sheepishly as we sit down and look at the menus.

" thank you for an amazing night harry." Josie smiles as we exit the restaurant and go back to my car

" of course, I had a great time."

I start the car and head back to Sophie's house. This evening was perfect, I thought. I will definitely be asking her out again. I haven't had this fun on a date in a long time.

We pull into the driveway and she unbuckles her seatbelt then turns to me unexpectedly.

" thank you, again for an amazing night, we should do this again," she tells me as she leans forward and kisses me on the cheek

"you're welcome, and yes we definitely will be" I reply to her as she opens the door and waves at me through the window. my

Josies pov:

wow! what an amazing night.

"hey how was your date," Sofie asks as I put my purse down and sit on the sofa

" it was amazing" I reply still grinning like an idiot

"that's great, well I'm going to bed," she tells me just as she starts to yawn. "Goodnight," I tell her as we both get up to go to our rooms.
