It's a little past 10 pm when they finally part their ways and head to their rooms. Minato sighs, striping to just a T-shirt and boxers. He settles onto the bed, the mattress creeks quietly from weight. While lifting the sheets he reaches over to the nightstand turning of the lamp. Once he's nestled under the blankets, he takes a long breath and then sighs contently. But, Minato can not seem to close his eyes though. So many thoughts were going through his head. Itching at him. He still has yet to figure out what he's going to do with himself. He has no job he desires. But he needs to find one. This would be simple if it wasn't for the fact that everyone thinks he's dead. Plus to add on top of that, Naruto doesn't know either. Minato knows Tsunade would ring his neck if Naruto found out he was alive. But it bothers him, that his own son doesn't know he even exists. Minato rolls to his side. Light tapping on the window could be heard. A tree branch blowing in the wind. A storm was coming. He could sense it. A shaky sigh rattles through his chest as he rolls to his other side.
It wasn't long before the soft patter of rain came. It smoothed Minato some, enough for him to begin drifting off into the gentle darkness of sleep.
It wasn't very long before Minato was pulled out of his slumber. But the alarm was not blaring. He peered over at the clock and noticed it was only 2 am in the morning.
"Odd." Minato mumbled, blinking a few times. He ignores the oddity and settles back into the sheets. Only then does he hear a muffled scream, oh.
Minato has never been a heavy sleeper, but being dead for so long must have did something. He bolted off the bed, finding the nearest weapon he could find. Which unfortunately was just a pen. But he could work with that. Minato then quickly but quietly makes it out of his room. He begins to look for chakra signatures. The blonde struggles but manages to find only Kakashi's. Still suspicious, he makes his way towards Kakashi's room. Minato listens closely behind the door. Pen grasped tightly. The rustling of sheets could be heard.
Minato slowly opens the door. Peeking in, only to spot Kakashi sitting up abruptly, staring in his direction. It was slightly hard to see in the dark room. Minato opens the door fully and steps in as slowly as he can. Not to spook Kakashi more than he already has. Finally Minato can see his face, he still has his mask on. But both eyes are uncovered. They're wide and terrified. His sharingan spinning wildly. One of his hands shake as he reaches out in Minato's direction.
"Kakashi-" Minato breathes out quietly, as soon as his name left Minato's lips, tears were pooling down his face. Minato drops the pen he had hurried to grab moments ago, and settles in front of Kakashi. Allowing him to grab him tightly. His knuckles are white when Minato looks down at his hands. They're grasping his T-shirt in a death grip. Kakashi sucks in a shuttering breath as he slowly closes his eyes. Trying to relax his sharingan. But fails when Minato brings his hands to lightly hold Kakashi's shoulders. A sob leaves his mouth as he opens his eyes again. Minato is quick to shush him, finally pulling him into a hug.
"I got you." Minato muttered, rubbing circles on his back. Kakashi shuddered in his touch, Minato still held on.
The situation reminded Minato when Kakashi was younger. After his father died he had had so many night terrors. It only got worse after obito died. Then when Rin passed as well, Kakashi wouldn't let Minato touch him. He had felt bad for the ninja, but it was apart of the life of being one.
It seems like forever until Kakashi finally becomes quiet. To Minato's dismay, the sliver haired nin had fallen asleep on his chest. He looked much more peaceful though. Face relaxed, snuggled into Minato's collar. The blonde smiled down at the nin, bringing his hand up to softly card through his hair. Kakashi hummed in his sleep, nuzzling impossibly closer. Warmth flushed onto Minato's cheeks. After a moment, he decided it was best to leave the sliver haired man alone now. Looking over towards the door, he slowly tried to maneuver away. Only to be stopped by a strong hand grabbing firmly at his bicep. Minato brought his gaze back to Kakashi, who was staring at him pleadingly. As if asking for him to stay.
Minato smiled at Kakashi. Bringing up his hand to the one gripping his bicep. He gently patted it, then shifted himself to rest beside Kakashi. Raising the sheets and settling under them as the copy nin watched him. The said man sighed heavily and then sunk into the bed. Neither said anything as charcoal black and ocean blue eyes slowly closed. Taking both men into the soft realm of sleep. The pen that had been frantically grabbed 30 minutes ago, now laying on the floor long forgotten.

Wow I magically updated :00- anyway I hope this chapter isn't too bad 😅, I'm pretty bad at writing very heartfelt/dramatic feeling scenes. I need to practice. But writing currently is not my priority. School is coming up pretty soon for me, so expect delays again. (As if I had a schedule in the first place) but if you have any ideas at all, please voice them!! Last chap someone gave me the idea for this one, and it helped a lot :'D. I currently don't know where I'm going with the story- so if y'all have any ideas, like I said, tell me! Anyway peace out, might see you, might not
