Chapter 4: The Project

Carie's POV

"Can you look up the information in the text book?" I asked Ben.

"Sure, love." he replied with a smile. Ben is my best guy friend. We are in the same Chemistry class and thankfully, we got put together to do a project. We were alone in my house since my parents were at work and wouldn't be back til late at night. 'Ding dong' the door bell rang. I sprung out of my seat to go open the door. As soon as I did, Daisy and Phoebe rushed inside.

"Thanks for babysitting them again. Louis and Harry will come in a bit and pick them up. I have to go run a few errands." Jay explained.

"Oh it's no problem. Where's Fizzy?" I asked.

"She's at a friend's house so you won't have to worry about her." she said with a smile. Jay then left and I was stuck with two girls and a chemistry project to finish.

"Can you girls try to be quiet today?" I asked. "I have a chem project due tomorrow and I need some quiet time." 

"Who is he?" asked Daisy while pointing at Ben.

"I'm Carie's best friend." Ben answered before I could. The girls quietly left to play.

Harry's POV

Carie opened the door to her house. "Hi" we all said at the same time. Daisy and Phoebe rushed to the door as soon as they saw us and hugged Louis.

"Hey girls. C'mon let's go home now." he told them.

"But Louis, we were just going to bake some cookies." Phoebe informed him.

"Hmmm alright, I guess we can stay for a little while. Is that okay with you Harry?" he asked smiling at me.

"Yeah, it's fine." I smiled back. We walked in and noticed a guy sitting on the couch with books and all sorts of school materials scattered around him. He waved at us and quickly turned back to his work. We all went into the kitchen.  There was milk, sugar, flour, eggs, chocolate chips, and other ingredients on the kitchen island.

"Do you lads want to help us?" Caries asked.

"Sure!" Louis and I said. 

I heard a voice behind me saying, "I have to go Carie. I finished the rest of the project."

"Don't you want to stay with us and make cookies?" Carie asked him.

"Nah thanks. I have to go meet up with Ryan." he replied awkwardly.

"Alright thanks for coming over. See you later been." she said as she gave 'Ben' a goodbye hug as they both kissed each other's cheek. After that he disappeared through the door. 

"ALRIGHT LET'S GET STARTED!" Louis shouted.

No POV

It was a rainy night in London. As the pitter patter of rain hit the windows in Niall's flat, he stood in front of the guest room that Stephanie was staying at, deciding whether or not to approach her about the situation that had occurred the previous day. he coulnd't believe her mother would treat he the way she did but she still expected to come back after all that had happened. No one deserved to be treated that way. As Niall knocked on the door, it suddenly swung with full force.

Nialls's POV

"Oh my gosh, Niall I'm so sorry! Are you ok?" Stephanie quickly apologized.

"Yeah, I'm fine." I said laughing, as the blood rose to my cheek, causing me to blush. "I actually wanted to ask you if were okay."

"Yeah, I'm fine, I'm used to it." she said quietly, with a small waek smile. Stephanie wasn't okay and I knew it. I figured that she would talk to me when she wanted; when she trusted me more.

"Erm, would you like to watch a film? Because of the weather we can't really do anything. Typical London, ya know?" I said.

"Yes, I love films! Especially action ones." she replied instantly cheering up.

"Okay, so Transformers 1, 2, or 3?" I questioned.

"I prefer 1, is that alright?" Stephanie replied.

"Yeah, I actually do too." I said smiling. I got up from the couch to go pop some popcorn Stephanie put the film in the DVD player.

We were only on the part of the film where the lead guy, Shia Lebeauf his name was I think, was hearing strange sounds coming from his car. As I glanced over to my side I could see that Stephanie's was asleep resting on my shoulder, I silently smiled. i couldn't like, I was sleepy as well. Ever since the last tour with the boys I haven't really had a good sleep. Clicking off the film, I shut off my eyes. I let all my stressful thoughts slip away and I thought about how good I felt in this exact moment.
