Your eyes blinked open. You blinked a few more times and looked around in the room you were in. Everything looked really Chinese.
Where am I?
Just then, as if an answer to your question, a young man with long black hair, amber eyes and a smile came in.
"Ni hao! How are you feeling-aru?"
"I'm okay. Um...where exactly am I?" you asked.
"You're in China-aru!" he said, sitting next to you.
"China? What's the day today?" you asked.
"Wednesday,"
"..and date?"
"15.xx.19xx," he paused, "I'm sorry, but do you have amnesia?"
"No! I remember what happened to me before I came here! But, its not so clear," you suddenly raised your voice but feeble it became as it came to the end of your sentence.
"Oh, I see-aru. Do you mind telling me what happened?" He cocked his head curiously.
"Hmmmm..." you paused," I remember I was....."
"I won't force you if you can't remember-aru,"
"I'll tell you when I remember," you ruffled your hair and rubbed your eyes.
"Okay-aru," he nodded and leaned back and forth.
There was silence between both of you. Awkward! The guy was a bit fidgety.
"By the way, where did you find me?" You broke the silence.
The guy looked at you and then turned his eyes away,
"I found you in an alley along with a suitcase. It was sad to see a young girl lying down in the dirt! So, I brought you to my home!"
You nodded slowly as you processed the information.
"Who are you?" You asked, finally realizing that you hadn't asked for his name.
"Me? I'm the personification of China! My real name is Yao! Wang Yao!" he said excitedly.
You giggled. The fact that he claimed to be China itself made you think that be joked. Little did you know that it was true.
"You have a nice name!" Your smile broadened.
"Xie Xie! What's your name?" asked Yao.
"I'm ___ _____." you replied.
"You have a pretty name,"
"Thanks," You laughed.
Yao looked at you in the eye and said with a smile, "You look a lot better now-aru!"
You felt yourself blush. Such a sweet person.
"Yao," you called.
"Hmm?"
"I think I finally can remember what happened," your eyes got all glossy.
"What do you remember-aru?" He cocked his head curiously.
You told him what had happened while shook in anger and clenched your fists.
Yao gently patted your clenched fists and spoke softly,
"You know what? You're getting angry. I'll give you something that will calm you down, okay-aru?"
"Um, okay?" you gave him a weird look as he stood up and walked out.
He came back a few minutes later with a tray and cup.
"Have some green tea!" said Yao.
You took the cup and stared at it and then at Yao suspiciously.
"Is something wrong-aru?"
"Well, It isn't easy to trust people these days, you know. How can I know you haven't put anything wierd in this tea?" you asked.
"Why would I even want to dk such a thing?" He mumbled to himself.
"Here, I'll drink it for you!" Yao the cup from you and drank it in one gulp.
"See! Nothing!" He proved.
"Fine, fine. I'll believe you," you smirked.
"You'd better," he pouted.
---
After finishing the tea, you asked Yao,
"Your house is pretty big. Do you live alone here?"
"Unfortunately, I do...." he played with his long ponytail.
You hummed and looked out at the garden through the open door.
"Do you have any relatives around anywhere?"
You turned to Yao to find him gazing at you. He looked pretty star struck.
You shook your head. All your known relatives died and the only family you had was the one who abandoned you.
"I see..um, do you mind staying here-aru?" his eyes darted away as his cheeks tinted a bit.
You thought for a few seconds.
"If I can keep you company or help you out, I'd love to!" you exclaimed.
Yao's face brightened up. He quietly cheered to himself and blushed.
And so, from that happy day on, you lived with that Chinese guy named Wang Yao!
