You were sleeping soundly until you suddenly woke up for no reason. Now, you couldn't go back to sleep, which you found annoying.
"What's the time? Is it early morning or is it night? I want to see the sunrise Yao mentioned about. I can't sleep!" you quietly complained while your eyes darted from the ceiling to the walls.
You got up, walked to Yao's room, opened the door and called,
"Yao?"
There was no answer, so you quietly let yourself in. You looked around in dimly lit room and a long picture of a flying red dragon caught your eye.
"Wow! That dragon looks so cool!" you exclaimed a bit loudly.
Just then, Yao groaned and shuffled a bit. Immediately, you slapped your mouth, regretting the decision.
Oh shit! Did I wake him up?
You walked to Yao's bed, sat down next to him and saw him sleeping there silently.
Yao's sleeping face looks cute!
"Yao...let's see the sunrise...wake up..." you whispered. Yao groaned again and moved a bit.
Looks like he's not going to wake up anytime soon, huh?
You sighed and stood up. Just then, something grabbed your arm. You looked back and saw Yao, still sleeping and yet grabbing your arm. He pulled you in the bed and hugged you tightly.
Wha-what's going on?! Why did he suddenly pull me in the bed?!
He demanded, "Don't leave me alone."
You blushed a deep red as he hugged you tighter.
"Yao...?" you called as you tried to wriggle out of his arms. Just then, you felt some liquid fall on your face.
You looked up and found tears in his tightly shut eyes. Surprised, you stopped moving and stared at him.
"Please don't leave me..."
I wonder what he's dreaming about...
He loosened his grip on you a bit less and mumbled again, "I want to be with you some more...."
Is Yao having a bad dream?
Some more tears ran down his face as he fell silent. You gently wiped his tears away as he continued sleep talking.
"I don't want to fight anymore...please..." Yao mumbled again and put his head on your shoulder.
In assurance, you stroked his soft ash hair and let him hug you for as long as he wanted. As much as possible, you didn't want anyone you liked to be sad.
He fell silent again and after you exhaled in relief, you fell asleep right there.
-Next Day- -Yao's P.O.V-
"Ugh..what a dream I had last night.." I mumbled and turned around.
I felt something tight around my waist. I pushed the blanket away and saw ____ sleeping right next to me.
What?! Why is ___ here? Why is she sleeping with me?
My face burned as my thoughts yelled in shock. She moved a bit closer and I flinched at her sudden movement.
"Yao, don't cry..." she mumbled.
"Don't cry? When did I cry?" My eyebrows tightened as I accidentally found myself gazing at her again.
Speaking of which, why do my eyes feel really heavy and weird? Did I really cry last night? She shuffled a bit under the covers and slowly opened her eyes.
"Yao? Good morning..." she said, rubbing her eyes.
"Y-yeah...how did you end up in my bed?" I asked, trying my best to keep calm.
"Oh yeah..." she paused, "I came early in the morning to wake you up because I wanted to see the sunrise and suddenly you pulled me in bed and mumbled in your sleep. You were even crying..."
"Oh no..." I felt my cheeks and ears turn hot, "I-I didn't mean to do that. I'm so sorry!"
-Your P.O.V-
You thought it was cute to see Yao all flustered.
"Don't worry. Are you okay? Did you have a bad dream?" you asked. Yao's face went sad as he nodded silently.
"Is it okay if you tell me about it?" you cautiously asked.
"I'm sorry, but I don't feel like talking about it...." said he, with some sort of seriousness.
"Are you sure you don't want to?" you asked, timidly. You didn't realize that you were dealing with a time bomb called "Wang Yao". He clenched his teeth, as a hint for you to stop and nodded.
"Really?" you asked again.
"I SAID NO!!" Yao lost his cool.
"Okay, then..." You silently walked out of the room, ran outside, somewhere in the garden and sat behind a tree.
"Was his dream that bad? He didn't have to yell at me...." you sighed.
-Yao's P.O.V-
Great, I did it. Since when did I get so salty about that? I even made ____ sad when she was so concerned about me. I felt a pang of guilt hit me as I jumped out of bed, put on my clothes, tied my hair and ran out of my room.
"Breakfast can wait. I need to find her first." I declared and dashed to her room. Not there. I looked into every single room in the house and all the nooks and crannies but she wasn't anywhere.
"I'll check the garden.." I said running out to the garden.
"______!" I called loudly. But there was no answer.
"_____!!"
-Your P.O.V-
"_____!!" he called. You sat there, still as a rock.
"_____!!"
What are you doing? Reply! Don't just sit and mope around just because he yelled at you! Whatever he might have dreamed about must've been terrible! Don't go judging him just like that!
Your thoughts lectured you good. Just as you were about to reply, Yao peeked behind the tree you were sitting and called,
"____- There you are!" He fell on his knees and sighed heavily.
"I'm sorry..." he whispered, "I'm sorry that I yelled at you."
You sighed and gave a little smile, "I forgive you."
"Next time, please don't go running around like that. It makes me worried, okay-aru?"
You nodded.
"And, about the things related to my dream, I'll tell you about them someday-aru!" Yao said, grinning. You let out some air and hung your head down.
"______?" he called.
"I'm hungry..." your stomach growled loudly.
"No wonder." he laughed.
"Let's get some breakfast-aru!"
"Yeah!"
