Prolouge- 8, 9, and 10

                    Heyo, I haven't found much energy to write the next chapters but now I have so lets go. Also I'm gonna shorten the chapter titles from now on to ^^^ that now. Good luck with the problematic bois, and finding out that your able to move flames ;). Also fun fact I was the Queen of Hearts a few years back for a play, cause I had her vibes. Also she's my personal favorite

(Y/N)'s POV

                    Hearing a certain giggle from the ghosts woke me up making me sit up and rub my eyes a little. The skinniest ghost is right there giggling. I yawn a little and stretch. 
"Don't you two have to be up to clean the school?"
                    The ghost asks in a somewhat teasing tone. I shift and got off the bed standing up and stretching some more. Looking down I noticed a certain 'Great grim' asleep still, as he mutters 'five more minutes' and bats his paws towards where the ghosts at. I shake my head and sigh a little as I noticed a janitor jumpsuit folded on the end of the bed with a note, I grabbed it and looked over the note quickly.
'Miss (L/N)
        I ever so graciously got you some clothes and bandages for it seemed that you needed some new ones. I'm down in the lobby of the dorm come meet me with your companion when you are awake ~Crowley'
My eyebrow twitches a little as I go behind a dusty divider as the ghosts continued to pester Grim to wake up. I unwrapped the bandages to see that the fire burns are no longer there, even though they where pretty bad I would assume to have scarring but it is quite odd, I shrug it off and just wrap my arms anyways, cause aesthetic and the fact that Crowley would question me anyway. 
"Laze about too long and you'll never wake up again." The slightly medium Ghost says
"Just like us!" The biggest ghost giggles after that
The fiery feline jolts awake making a startled noise as I finished changing and coming out from behind the dusty divider, brushing some dust off the navy blue jumpsuit.
"It's those ghosts again! Hey you-huh where'd you go?" He looked at the spot where I was sleeping and began looking around before meeting my eyes.
"They aren't causing too much trouble leave em be Grim"
"B-but they woke us up!"
I roll my eyes
The skinniest ghost flew to me and goes around me once
"Are you all going to be living here? You're gonna get pranked"
The ghost laughs before disappearing with the other two.
"Shoot. We'll get rid of you eventually!"
I sigh as I pick Grim up, and head down to the lobby to meet with Crowley. I walk down the creaky steps carefully getting the Headmasters attention as he turns to us with a smile. 
"Good morning you two. Did you sleep well?"
Grim looked annoyed as he grumbles
"I was all sprawled out then I fell out the bottom! Just how Ramshackle can you get?"
I shrug as the feline gains a more angry face.
"The the ghosts woke me up, this is the worst!"
"I slept like a rock, I was quite tired honestly"
Crowley ignored Grim's answer and smiled toward me
"Even though you just got tossed over from another world you can still be cheeky-"
He clasps his hands together bringing them to his right side as he tilts his head
"-That's just wonderful!"
Grim and I sweat dropped at the headmasters pose. He soon switches to placing his hands on his hips.
"I came to speak about pay, and your work for today."
"Ah right pay and work, so what is your decision on pay Crowley?"
"Well depending on how big the job is I will pay you a great amount of madol, if the job is simpler you shall receive the minimum of 20 madol, a decent amount I would say to have you pay for your own necessities."
I hum
"Far enough"
He hands me a coin pouch 
"For now I'll give you this coin pouch that holds enough to pay for your necessities, and for todays lunch"
"Thanks"
"As for your job today, you'll be cleaning the campus. Though you'll have trouble without magic with how large the Campus is, I will limit it to clean from Main street from the Main gate to the Library. Understood?"
Grim looked bored at this discussion as I noticed that the bow that he had was a bit crooked from sleeping, I quickly fixed it and looked back to the headmaster.
"Please watch Grim closely so he doesn't cause a scene like yesterday."
"I understand Headmaster Crowley, I'll do my best to make sure he stays in line"
He smiles
"I'm counting on you. You two have permission to have lunch in the school cafeteria. Take care of your work enthusiastically. Oh and here, I have brought you both some breakfast to get you energized for today"
He holds a paper bag, I took it before Grim could knowing he was a glutton, The Headmaster bows a little and takes his leave. Grims focus wasn't on the breakfast (Surprisingly) as he clicked his tongue and crossed his arms.
"No way I'm doing any cleaning"
I find two breakfast burritos in the bag handing one to Grim as I ate the other. Grim finished his in a flash.
"I wanna go to class and, Bang! boom boom boom! Use a bunch of awesome spells~"
I hum and continued eating my burrito.
"We can go to the library after cleaning, I'm sure I can teach you spells even if I can't cast them"
He clicked his tongue and muttered stuff under his breath as I finished my food and began heading out with the feline in my arms.
                 We headed out of the Ramshackle dorm and began our way to the campus, looking around finding this place to be very pretty as the College from far away reminds me of the castle of Sleeping Beauty. As we reached the main walk way there was statues. The statues lined the stone brick path, Four on the left, three on the right. But what caught my eye was they were of seven well known Disney villains. Looking to the Left it begins with Hades, then Jaffar, the Evil queen or queen Grimhilde, and finally Maleficent. On the right it begins with Scar, Ursula, than the Queen of Hearts. It was quite shocking to see honestly, I mean this place did look like a Disney area, with the many references to the older animated movies of the Disney princesses, but I didn't expect it to actually have the characters. Grim jumped out of my arms admiring the beauty of the area of main street.
"Uwaaah~ Amazing. So this is Main Street."
I nod
"I didn't get a good look yesterday but what's with these statues? All seven of them look pretty scary."
He bounds over to where the queen of hearts was, making me follow him.
"This granny looks especially snobby."
"You don't know the Queen of Hearts?"
I look over to see the person who talked to us, and honestly the guy is cute, he has messy burnt orange hair, beautiful ruby eyes and a red heart over his left eye ((Cause we you are looking at him it's on the right side of his face when facing him)) He was wearing the uniform having a red vest and a red ribbon with a black middle on his left upper arm, holding a crest to presumably the dorm he resided in. Though he was cute, the bitter taste in my mouth, and the cocky grin and mischievous glint in his eyes made it clear that he was up to something. Grim was caught off guard by Ace.
"Queen of hearts? Is she important?"
"In the past she was the queen who lived in the Rose Maze." He began looking to the statue making Grim's gaze go back to it, I looked closer to see the details, the Roses that she's stood atop on, the pose of her lifting the over layer of her skirt while holding her heart fan, the proportions fit to a T to the animated queen I saw on the television.
"She was someone who valued rules and discipline above all, strict in all things from the Card Soldiers to the color of rose bushes. It was a land of madness where all submit to her rule. Why you ask? Because or else it was off with your head!"
Grim shivered as a look of fear appears on him
"That's terrifying!"
"It's cool I like it. Nobody would listen to a queen who's just nice all the time, right?"
"I suppose. A strong leader is better."
"Eh, she's more of a tyrant in my eyes, she keeps threating her troops and people, making them afraid of her to the point of where she stays in power, that only leads to assassination and poisoning the queen."
I said crossing my arms. The boy raises a brow and slightly glares toward me but quickly put on the façade when Grim took my words in before looking to the boy.
"By the way, who're you?"
"I'm Ace. A fresh-faced first year. Nice to meetcha."
The boy says with a fake smile as his left hand went behind his head as his right stayed on his hip. I hum as the bitter taste stays, it's more bittersweet than just bitter. 
"I am Grim. A genius who'll become the greatest magician. The dimwit over there is my henchman."
I irked as a tick mark appeared as I hit Grim's head. He whined and looked at me confused.
"Hey why'd you do that"
"I ain't your henchman Grim."
I looked to Ace giving a fabricated smile.
"I'm (Y/N) nice to meet you Ace"
Ace's eyes flicker over to the smile as he probably notices that it's not a real smile. I guess you can say it takes a fake person to recognize a fake smile. 
"You've got an odd sounding name (Y/N)."
"Hey, Ace. The lion over there with the scar, are they famous?"
Grim says walking over to look at the statue of Scar. We follow the feline looking at the statue. It was well made like the last, Scar stood atop a rock having a skeleton near the bottom to decorate.
"Of course. This is the King of Beasts who rules the savannah. However, he was not born to be king, but took the throne through effort and elaborate planning. After becoming king, he even allowed the loathed hyenas to live in his kingdom without discrimination."
"Oooooh. I guess he was a rock not held captive by his status!"
I decide to join in.
"Well it is unfortunate that he was overthrown by his nephew, who he believed was dead like his brother. He didn't feed the hyenas like he promised he would when he became king which resulted in his down fall, having fought his nephew and was thrown to the hyenas to become their prey."
Grim and Ace looked at me in disbelief
"Wait really??"
I nod
"Yes really, he may have allowed the hyenas in he just didn't provide them with what he promised."
Ace look at me in suspicion before getting distracted by Grim again.
"Who's the lady with the octopus legs?"
"Ah The Sea Witch who lives in a cavern in the deep. Her purpose was to help all unfortunate merfolk. As long as you could pay the price she could transform you, help you find love, anything. If it was within her power there wasn't anything she wouldn't do. they say her prices were pretty high, though. That's what it costs for *anything*"
Grim's greed got the best of him as he completely didn't see the point that Ace said.
"So What you're saying is I can get rich if I become a great magician!?"
I sigh
"I mean She did manage to convince a princess to trade her voice for feet, she is quite persuasive."
Ace eyes have a glint of curiosity when I mentioned that. Grim was surprised of my knowledge it seemed, but he soon got distracted and goes toward Jaffar's statue.
"The what about this man in the big hat?"
"The Sorcerer of the Sand. He was a cunning vizier to a foolish sultan and saw through the fake prince that was actually a street rat trying to trick the princess. Then he got a magic lamp and became the most powerful sorcerer of all. With that power they say he became a sultan." 
"Ho hoh! So it is important for magicians to be the center of attention!"
"Well it may be true he became a great sorcerer and sultan, he was tricked by the princess and street rat to become a very magical being called a genie, though by becoming one he also lost his freedom by doing that and resigns in the lamp."
I murmur but it seems they ignored me now, I guess they may have gotten bored of me stating the truth that I saw in the movies. Grim goes to the Evil queen's statue.
"Ooooh! This lady sure is beautiful!"
"She is the Beautiful Queen. Everyday she checked the *beauty ranking* in her magic mirror. And when it looked like she might fall from the number one spot, she never hesitated to do anything to get it back. I guess she had the strong will to remain the most beautiful in the world? So freaking amazing. They say she was even adept at making poisons."
Grim grimaced 
"She's pretty, but no thanks."
 "You think? But it's cool that she has something she'll never give up."
"S-sure that single minded drive is pretty cool."
"Single minded enough if that means disguising herself to be an ugly hag to convince people to take whatever she had poisoned."
"Eh?? Really?!" Grim asked looking at me in surprise as I nod
"How'd you know that (Y/N)?"
I look to Ace
"Well if she was willing to do anything, she'd certainly disguise herself if she was smart, which she is if she knows how to make poisons."
"Fair enough"
Grims attention span is very short if no one else has notice as he goes to Hades's statue.
"Over there, what's with the guy on fire? Just looking gives me goosebumps."
"Lord of the Underworld! He rules the land crawling with evil spirits on his own. No doubt he is extremely skilled. Even though he's got a scary face, he did that detestable job without ever taking a vacation and his sincerity won over Ceberus, the hydra, even the titans, to fight for him."
"Hhmmm, hmmm. So having talent doesn't mean you get to be haughty."
"He can be charismatic so it makes sense he was able to convince the creatures to fight for him, also is probably a 'Hot-head'"
Grim and Ace both groan as I thought 'whelp that's it I shall just die I guess'
Grim got out of the cringe pretty quickly when he spots Maleficent.
"And the last one? with the Horns"
"That is the Witch of Thorns from the Magic Mountains. Noble and elegant, even within the seven she is top class in magic and curses! She can summon lightning and storms, cover an entire country in thorns, her magic is on a whole other level. There was even a time she transformed into a huge dragon!"
Grim's eyes sparkled in amazement when he heard that as I picked him up he wiggled in delight.
"Oooh! A dragon! All monsters look up to them!"
"They're all so cool~....Unlike a certain raccoon."
Grim growls and frowns
I hear Ace begin laughing
"I can't bear it any more!"
He started to cackle like a hyena, as I just glared at him. 'I knew something was wrong with him' Grim's anger just boiled more as Ace laughed.
"Aren't you the two who went crazy at the entrance ceremony?"
He looked at me 
"You were summoned by the Dark Mirror even though you can't use magic"
And looks down at Grim who was in my arms.
"And you, monster, weren't called but still trespassed. Yaahh, it tool everything I had not to lose it at the ceremony."
Grim growls and crosses his arms
"Wha?! You're a rude one!"
"Had a feeling that you were gonna cause trouble"
I said completely deadpanned, dull eyes looking at Ace that made him shiver a bit but he brushes it off.
"And now you weren't allowed in and regulated to janitor? Haha, how lame."
Grim is beginning to heat up and shake in anger in my arms, making more angered sounds.
"On top of that, you don't even know about the Great Seven. How ignorant can you be? I recommend you go back to kindergarten before coming to the Night Raven College."
Ace giggles as Grim made more noise.
"You might wan to stop Ace."
"I thought I'd just mess with you a bit but you really blew my expectations away. Unlike you two, I actually have classes to attend. Keep this school squeaky clean you two."
I keep my grip on Grim as tight as possible as the feline began to squirm in my grip as Ace starts to walk away.
"This jerk! He's just gonna say that and leave! I'm pissed now!"
"Grim it's best if you calm down, I'd rather not get in trouble with the headmaster."
He growls before finally getting out of my grip and firing a ball of flame at Ace. Thankfully the boy managed to get out of the way. I facepalmed.
"Oh my! Watch out! What're you doing!"
"It's what you get for making fun of me! I'm gonna light up that fire head of yours!"
"Fire head, huh?"
"I don't think we should fight you two, somethings gonna happen"
They didn't seem to hear me
"You've got guts picking a fight with me. You too. I'll turn you into a puffy, little toy poodle!"
"Guys wait don't fight!"
Too late Grim threw a fire ball and Ace counters with wind.
"This guy is blowing wind all over the place! My fire gets all twisted up!"
They start to attract a crowd making me sigh, but I started to notice that the attacks are getting awfully close to the Queen of hearts statue, so I quickly go over to the statue ready to block it with my body, rather get myself hurt than get property damaged.
"A flimsy little fire like that won't hit me."
"What? You better be ready!"
The fight continues and I had tried to get them to stop but my words and attempts fell upon deaf ears, so I just prepared myself in front of the statue. Grim blew another ball of fire at Ace.
"And I just change the trajectory with wind like... That!"
Then they watch as the fire flies toward the statue that I'm standing in front of, the two's faces become ones of what looked like horror as time slows for a moment, I lifted my arms up and expect the fire to hit but to my surprise it never came. I heard everyone gasp as peak over to see the ball of fire gone completely still. I slowly let my arms down and the fire just stays still, I lift my hand and move it up and the fire follows. Ace and Grim jaws drop as they gawk, and all the students seem to be in shock too.
I was honestly confused and just start moving it around more, it honestly felt like I was fire bending at this point. I soon lead the fire to a water source and put it out.
Crowley can forward also a bit shocked but shakes it off.
"Enough!! Just what is going on here!"
Both Ace and Grim got out of their daze and tensed up
"Guh! Headmaster..."
"He's gonna tie us up with the *lash of love*! Get outta here!"
As the two began running they were immediately caught and they both screamed out in pain, I just stand there like a good kid, knowing that there will be punishment.
"Hurts just as much the second day in a row"
Grim cried out.
"Well maybe if you listened to me Grim you wouldn't have gotten hurt, you too Ace."
"This is my Lash of Love! It'll be another hundred years before you can outrun me!"
He looks toward us with a piercing gaze.
"I told you just yesterday to *not cause any trouble*, didn't I? Then you go and almost hurt miss. (L/N) because she was protecting a statue of the Great Seven! I very much should have you expelled!"
"Wait! Not that!"
His gaze reaches my eyes
"And you, this is not how you supervise Grim, and you shouldn't put yourself head first into danger like that."
"At least I managed to stop them, by doing something I didn't know I could do...Sorry..."
Ace and Grim look at me in disbelief
"You didn't realize you could control fire!?!?!"
I wince and nod, the headmaster sighs shaking his head.
"My goodness...." He looks at Ace "You, what's your grade and name?"
Ace looked a bit defeated and disappointed as the Headmaster's glare bores into his skull.
"Ace Trappola, First year."
"The Trappola and Grim, as punishment I order the two of you to wash 100 windows around campus! (L/N) you must supervise them."
"What!? It's all cause this joker was making fun of us!"
"Ehh?! Me too??"
"Wait a sec, why isn't my henchmen helping us???"
I roll my eyes
"It's punishment enough that I have to supervise you two, You both are deaf and wouldn't listen to me!!"
"Most definitely Trappola! After school, meet in the cafeteria. Understood? Also (Y/N) "
I bow slightly
"Yes headmaster"
Ace grumbles out a 'fine'
"Nothing but misery since yesterday!!"
Crowley nods and shoos the students away to their classes and told me that we need to talk later about that thing that happened earlier. I only nod and dragged Grim off to start working.
