A Bad Idea

Shepard was sitting in her quarters, going over some reports from previous missions. They were long, boring to read, but the images from those battles were clear. Too clear. Horizon and the mission to recruit Garrus, AKA: Archangel, were occupying her mind more than most missions would. Shepard understood why she couldn't take her mind off of Horizon, it was a bloody battle with the collectors, and almost every single colonist was captured. The ones she couldn't save. The idea that she was neither fast enough, or strong enough to save them haunted her mind. What she didn't understand however, was why the mission to recruit Garrus was repeating in her mind, over, and over again. No matter how hard she tried, whether that be reading other reports, or filing new ones, she couldn't take her mind off it, for barely even a moment. The image of seeing Garrus's face for the first time in years, seeing his beautiful blue eyes, and equally blue paint, which covered his ever so captivating face was all she could think about. But what she remembered most of all, was the blood. The dark pool of blood that Garrus laid in, as he choked on his own fluids, and how helpless and panicked Shepard felt.

The image quickly faded away as Shepard heard a quick electronic beep at her door. Shepard slowly got up from her desk, putting the data pad she was holding down slowly, and made her way towards the door. She opens the door and faces towards, expecting Kelly to talk to her about some report on the crew, or maybe Miranda to continue to contradict and disprove of her decisions. But as the door opened, there was no-one. Shepard looked around confused, as she stepped forward into the hallway.

"Hello?" Shepard called out, looking left and right for a sign of anyone being there. "Huh." Shepard let out a small huff of irritation, thinking that the door must've glitched or something. But as she turns back around to walk back into her room, she is greeted by a familiar, yet somewhat irritating face.

"Hey Shep, done looking at the hallway?" Kasumi chuckled lightly. Her slim outfit and clean face, apart from the beautiful purple markings, was in view of Shepard, but she wasn't interested in looking at Kasumi. She was more concerned with what Kasumi was doing up here in the first place.

"What do you want Kasumi? I'm trying to go over reports right now." Shepard said, obviously irritated. She crosses her arms and waits for a response from the master thief. Kasumi leans on the door frame, clasping her hands behind her back, and grins.

"Well, grumpy pants, I had an idea-" Kasumi replies but is cut off by Shepard at the end of her sentence.

"No." Shepard says with authority. Shepard has seen first hand what Kasumi's idea have lead to, and wasn't about to encourage her. "No way, your ideas never end well." Kasumi loses her grin and looks grumpily back at Shepard, crossing her arms to match the irritated Commander.

"Oh come on, at least hear me out!" Kasumi blurts out. She waits a second for a rebuttal from the Spectre, but she only rolls her eyes and looks back at Kasumi, her irritated, yet reluctant way of telling her to go on. "I thought it might be good for everyone if we had some shore leave. Everyone has been stressed out lately, and ever since recruiting Tali, Samara, and the Drell I can never remember the name of, the crew has looked exhausted from all the fighting, and worrying about you, Garrus most of all, hasn't helped." Shepard pondered for a moment, thinking about the idea. Shore leave might be good for the teams, it's been a while since they got a good break. But a realization hit Shepard like a krogan charge.

"Wait, did you say Garrus was worried about me?"
