Shore Leave(Shepard x Garrus)

It will take some convincing...

Kasumi looked at Shepard confused. "Well... yeah... of course he is. We all are, you never seem to rest, when you aren't fighting, you're writing reports, and when you aren't doing that, you're training. You must be exhausted but you never take any time to rest, or take care of yourself." Kasumi elaborated. Shepard took a second to think, but quickly became defensive of her actions.

"The hell are you talking about? No shit I'm training and writing reports, we're up against the collectors! If I'm not training, I'm wasting my time and I'm putting our mission in danger." Shepard replied with a harsh tone. Kasumi frowned, disappointed with Shepard's answer.

"Commander please, this isn't healthy and you know it. If I learned anything being on this ship, and serving with you, it's that you aren't stupid." Kasumi said. "I have a hard time believing that you don't realize the harm you're doing to the crew and yourself" Shepard looked down, thinking. Shepard took a deep breath, and started to look back on everything she had done recently. And... Kasumi was right. She had only been training, fighting, or writing reports. The only time she had ever relaxed was after the Horizon mission, and that was because she was physically to tired to do anything else. And then she thought about her crew, the team had been fighting along side her day in and day out, without any shore leave, or even just time to relax. She realized just how hard she had been pushing the team.

"No Kasumi... you're wrong." Shepard said to the confused thief. "I was too stupid to realize what I have been doing to myself and the squad. And... I'm sorry." Shepard looked at Kasumi, who now had a small smile on her face. "Thank you Kasumi and..."

"You'll do it?"

"I'll think about it." Shepard finishes.

"That's all I can ask of you commander. And if you do decide to take some shore leave for the squad, I'll help you plan, k Shep?" Kasumi looks happily towards Shepard. She was glad she was able to get through to her. Maybe finally she would get the time off she deserved. And maybe, she thought, this would be the start of the commander finally getting some rest.
