North of Twilight woods, the rotten forest could rival Murky woods in terms of gloom. Many ghost types live here, some wandering souls. Despite being reasonably far away from the known shadow energy source, this place is surprisingly full of it. Strangely enough, the energy in this area seems self contained. Rotten forest is home to Gravestone City and Pumpkin Town. Also home to mystery dungeon Nightmare Brook.
