Rick's POV

As we walked back to the school Y/N just talked about how thankful she is for the date. How good the time we had was. Everything. I finally feel like someone actually needs me. Not just want me for popularity like Mindy. It's like she actually wants to be with me. Not for stuff I have. I feel appreciated.

But how do I describe our friendship? Well people asks if we date but we don't. Kinda wish we did. We flirt much that's the thing- always saying that we love each other but she whispers "I love you as a best friend" and that hurts.

We weren't dating but it seemed like it. Walking around like a couple, flirting, she wearing my clothes. We acted like a couple but we were best friends. I just wished we really dated and not in a flirty friendship. I'm maybe friend zoned but the others thinks otherwise.

The next day it was school. Everything was chill until lunch.

                                    Jealousy

We all knew that the most girls were jealous of Y/N. Especially Mindy, Cindy, the other cheerleaders and Linda.

About what exactly? Well. She's respected by everyone, friends with all hockey players in school. Teachers gives her extra credit since she's on varsity and good, she's a model sans hers career is going off, she's only 17 and have walked fashion week, Versace, Moschino and Givenchy. She's on magazines, H&M and Zara loves her. She's on varsity and friends with them, she was on the ducks, team USA. Shes actually in the beauty standards for her country. Everyone loves her. Who wouldn't want to be her?

But of course Mindy and Cindy needs to make a scene. As always.

So me and Y/N was walking as normal into the lunch hut this time my arm was around her waist and hers around mine. She also wore a pair of lose/baggy jeans, one of my shirts and her varsity jacket. She looked good but comfortable. But when we were walking to our table and walked past the cheerleaders this happened.

"So the hoe bag is back, isn't that right Cindy?" Mindy asked Cindy, in a low voice but high enough so we could hear

"Oh yeah I do. What was her name again?" Cindy asked

"I think it was Y/N if I'm right" Linda said

I'm in shock that Linda was sitting with them. For real

"Oh that's how they want it to be" Y/N whispered to me

"Princess there not worth your time and you know it"

"But still, why not?"

She stood still, tapped Mindy and Cindy on there shoulders. She was confident. Knowing what she was supposed to say. She knew how to handle stuff like this.

"Says the girls who can't go a week without a hook up?" She said to them

"We'll have you seen you?" Linda asked

"Yeah, you dress inappropriate" Mindy said while looking her up and down

"Girl- I'm in baggy jeans and your skirt, I know it's an uNiFoRm but still" Y/N said

She was furious but she didn't show it like the cheerleaders and Linda. I looked at Adam with THAT look from the time with THAT waiter, gave a quick look to the cheerleaders and Linda and he went to Connie, Guy and Julie. Adam came with them not short after standing a little bit away to just watch this bullshit breakout. After a little time the hockey players got quiet, soon almost everyone was watching from a distance.

I still hold Y/N's waist. Just to hold her still. Anger issues was her thing. And I mean it.

"Well I haven't hooked up with Cindys boyfriend and lied about it." Y/N said and looked at Mindy

"You did what?!" Cindy said, she was furious

"And I did not start to date people just to be popular" she said and stared at them all three

And when they tries to speak the death stare comes. Yes that one she used on the waiter. And they got quiet. Some freshman's what saw it just walked out. People looked away. The ducks and varsity started to almost laugh, quiet so no one heard. Some kid ran out. We understood why tho. But Mindy and Cindy just sat down, Linda walked to Charlie but he ignored her. Weird but him and Y/N are good friends. Maybe disappointed that she really was that jealous she needed to start argue with her.

Oh and I didn't tell about the whole argument, just some things that happened.

Mindy and Cindy didn't talk that much after that. Cindy broke up with her boyfriend and only talked to Mindy when she absolutely needed to about cheer. Y/N ruined a relationship and a toxic friendship. Y/N just walked away with me to our table. The most had forgot it the next day. Not people that were scared by her. Guess now everyone knows not to make her angry.

The rest went of as usual. The practice too. Coach Orion even made it easier. Didn't train us at the hardest. Just to play around with the ducks. And it was so fun. Dwayne with his lasso and cowboy hat. Dean and Fulton knocking people over. Connie going off on Cole that bumped her into the glass. Averman and Y/N goofing as usual. Ken and his dance moves. Goldberg trying to prove he's better than Julie as a goalie. Charlie and Adam becoming closer since the argument. Scooter and me racing at who's faster from the blue line to the other one. Luis failing to stop sometimes but he did it the lost of it. Rest of the varsity getting captured by Dwayne. Russ and Jess messing with Orion. Him actually smiling and laughing.

That was new

After practice Y/N jumped up on my back so we could go to our dorm. Connie and Julie running after since IM sO fAsT. No there just slow. Guy running after Connie to give her a goodnight kiss. Ordinary simp Guy Germaine.

I hold our skates since we had our stuff in a locker in the changing rooms. Y/N had a bag with her model stuff like her portfolio, a pair of black and nude heels, a mascara, a little piece of food and a big water bottle in bags that were in the locker in the corridor, her dorm, at her parents. At the changing rooms just if her agency would call and telling her she needed to be somewhere in 20-30 minutes. Oh and a lip balm she always had, clothes that would be good for a casting, fitting or a photo shoot too.

But as fast as we came to our dorm she took of her makeup meanwhile I took a shower and then she did after. Then when I was so close to sleep she asked in a sleepy voice

"Ricky? Can we cuddle? I can't sleep"

"Of course princess" I said in a sleepy voice to as she walked to my bed to come cuddle

This happened when she couldn't sleep, if I were asleep and she wanted to cuddle she knew she could and would go to my bed. But when she come she laid her leg on me and her arm and my arms were around her waist. After a little time I pulled her up so all her body weight was on me. Better if you ask me. And then she started to play with my hair. My arms were on her back as she tried to dig her head into my neck. Before I fell asleep I felt a kiss in my neck.
