Today was the day. The day I did a trial with Lokomotiv and the day I might possibly get accepted in one of the most prestigious academies in the world and develop much faster than my peers in other clubs. That was because Lokomotiv was renowned for being able to develop young talents quickly and was a frequent destination for young players, who were not good enough for the first team at their respective clubs, to be loaned out at.

I was excited but nervous at the same time because I knew that if I was not selected, I would probably not have a career or would be a bad player. Luckily, I managed to shine in the trial and passed with flying colors.

I had been selected to join Lokomotiv's prestigious academy at the age of 17 and I was told to play in the Under-19 age group. This eventually made me better physically as I was playing against opponents who were stronger, faster and bigger than me. I then went to the Under-17 team to play regularly and get experience and playing time. Eventually when I became 18 years old, I was moved to the Under-21 team, where I played virtually all the games for the only season I was in the team.

Yes. It meant that I was getting moved to the Lokomotiv first team at the age of 19. If you are not sure why I am so excited at being in Lokomotiv's first team, it is because almost the whole of Lokomotiv's first team are made of young talented wonderkids who have been loaned in. This means that it is almost virtually impossible for any footballer to come through from their academy. Another reason why I was so happy was because I was the first baller in five years to even get promoted to the first team without being loaned in.
