I contemplated asking him. Should I? I debated myself in my mind. I mean I'm not clingy. I bit my lips. Don't say, Veronica. I popped a strawberry in my mouth and watch Cruz as he cut his pancakes and eat them.
I grabbed my cup of tea, looking at him through the rim of the cup.
"Who were you talking to last night?" I bit my lips. Fuck.
"Are you jealous, love?" Cruz teased with a lazy smirk on his face. I looked at him unamused.
"You come to bed with me every night. Why would I be?" I shot nonchalantly as I casually took a sip of my tea. He looked shocked for a moment before he grinned. I hated everything about coffee, the smell, the taste. Everything.
Cruz chuckled soft, taking a sip of his own tea. "My brother, Ace, called."
"Oh," I trusted him. I just wanted to know, that's what I have been telling myself.
Cruz got up from his seat, he sat on the sofa next to me. He pulled me in his lap, I quickly locked my arms around his neck. He placed a small peck on my nose.
He chuckled softly. "My mother threatened him. She wanted to know where I am. Ace told me she threatened his dick."
I giggled. "Really?"
"Yes, she can be a scary woman. And she is quite persuasive. Mum would always find a way to make you do whatever she wanted to." He explained.
"Ahan?" I teased.
"Yes, and you do not want to piss her off." He had a look of horror on her face. I laughed.
"Tell me more," I smiled. I wanted to know about the woman who raised the perfect man. The gentleman.
"Once, I had to leave London last minute. So I left without telling her. She called the entire police on me. Then she was so pissed off. She did not talk to me for a whole week even though I sent flowers every day to her house." He explained with a smile on his face.
"What did you do to get her to talk?" I asked. I already loved Mrs. Walker from what Cruz had been telling me.
"I surprised her on a date. Then let's just said I paid mum and dad a cinéma sous les étoiles." His smile never wavered off. Mrs. Walker really did a great job raising his son. Cruz talked about his mother with a passion.
"I once brought a nightclub to piss off my mother." I shared.
"You did?" Cruz looked amused.
"Yes. My mother does not like it when I drink. Anyways, I got drunk the night she came to visit me, she was not happy at all. You should have seen her face. All red and angry. So the only thing I could think of doing was buy a nightclub." I explained my rebellion.
Cruz laughed heartily. It was nice to see him that way. His laugh resonated in my ears.
"What happened then?" Cruz was curious.
"I renamed it 'luxure'. She was so mad. I did not do anything about it though. I don't really drink so I appointed someone else to look after it." I finished.
"I did not know you were such a badass. It makes me want you a whole lot more." His eyes burned with desire.
I dipped my head and pressed my lips to his. Pulling back, I pecked his lips. His hands traced my body through the shirt that I was wearing.
"Come with me." He grabbed my hands and we got inside.
"Turn around," I listened to him. I gasped when I felt something cold touched my skin. I looked at the reflection in the mirror, then quickly turning around to him. I grabbed the pendant. It had initials to it. C.
