Chapter 7
I opened my locker, looking over its contents for my English book. It was the end of the day and I needed to run by my locker to get the things I needed for homework. I have to work at the hospital Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. On Monday and Wednesday is usually work from 3:30 to roughly 7 o'clock. I get home around 7:30ish to make myself dinner and all that jazz.
Thankfully today was Tuesday meaning I didn't have work to do after school, although I will miss Ms. Higgins.
Ms. Higgins is like a grandmother to me, she's just plain amazing and always tends to give me unneeded fashion advice. She always tells me that if I want to get to second base on a date that I need to wear something short, tight, and V-necked. I would turn as red as a cherry tomato as she laughed and gave me her innocent smile. She was pretty blunt for an old frail woman, she never beats around the bush and always got straight to the point. I guess when you're on your death bed there isn't enough time to go around things.
I shoved the heavy book into my back pack as my locker slammed shut on its own. I yelped and jumped up as my heart was beating like a heavy drum. I turned to my locker to see striking blue eyes with flecks of grey splashed through the irises, they were filled with so much happiness, love and.....pain?
"Will! This is the second time you have scared me!" I hit his arm as he chuckled at me. His arm was soft yet firm, it was well toned but not weight lifter toned. It was gorgeous, I wonder what it would be like if he held me with those strong arms. I mentally shook those thoughts out of my mind, as I tried to focus on the boy in front of me.
Is it hot in here or is me?
"I'm sorry Mallory, but it's way too easy to scare you." He flashed me his melt worthy smile and I had to pinch myself to keep from oozing all over the floor right then and there. Why did he come over here in the first place? I'm really not that interesting, I'm pretty sure he would rather spend time with the populars.
"What are you doing over here? You don't want to ruin your reputation." I shifted my bag on my shoulder and gave him a blank face. Then he did something that I didn't expect, he laughed. I looked at him utterly confused as he continued to laugh.
"I don't care what people think Mallory, I think you're cool." He grinned and shrugged after he finished laughing. I blushed and tried to hide my face, he thinks I'm cool.
Stay calm mal!
I took a couple of breathes and turned to him and I grinned."Then what are you doing here?" He smirked and leaned against the row of lockers.
"I wanted to ask if you wanted to get frozen yogurt with me." I furrowed my eyebrow and cocked my head to the side.
"You and your group of friends?" I asked quietly. Will chuckled and shifted his feet.
"No just you and me. So, do you wanna?"
Did he really just ask me to go out with him? No, not go in as a date but as friends. Just friends. Or were we even friends? I just met this guy and he's asking me to go on a date. What would your mother think? Going around with hot guys just randomly, what if he wants to murder you?! Isn't it always the cute ones that are crazy?
I can't be thinking about my mom in front of this guy. He already probably thinks I'm crazy ."Mallory? Are you okay?" Oh shit I wasn't talking. Maybe I should say something. I tried to say something but nothing came out, just a gargled crackly sound. He chuckled and I blushed tremendously. I nodded my head softly and he smiled with his perfect white teeth and reached out and grabbed my semi-sweaty hand. I just grinned and followed the blue eyed beauty out of school.
