Clouds of cotton candy decorated the blue canvas that stretched across the endless horizon, while the sun basked the earth below in rays of warmth. Y/N groggily opened his eyes and stretched his arms wide, his face contorting with his monstrous yawn.

The damaged road was one reason he couldn’t sleep as it made the car bumpy. Y/N looked to his left and saw his manager humming the song that was playing on the radio while he tapped his fingers on the steering wheel.

“Yejun-ah, how can you be so cheerful?” Y/N asked as he massaged his temple. “I can’t even sleep the nervousness away.”

“Why? Are you grumpy hyung?” His manager glanced at him.

“I’m just nervous. I’ve been away from the industry for five years now.”

Yejun took what Y/N was feeling into consideration and slowed down the car. He turned on the blinker and changed to the right lane. Y/N noticed his gesture and chuckled; his manager might be different now, but he can see their similarities.

“Why did you laugh hyung?” He asked him.

“Nothing. You reminded me of my old manager.”

“Jinyoung sunbaenim? I wonder where he is now.”

Y/N and Jinyoung walked through the park with the night sky and clouds painted above them. The dim lights coming from the lamp posts made them feel like they’re in a movie scene of their own as they walked through the short-cut grass. The two of them stayed silent, and the only other noise was the steady sound of their footsteps.

“Are you sure you want to marry Yujin?" Jinyoung sat on a bench.

The night was warm, but the comforting breeze made Y/N feel relaxed as he took in a deep breath.

"Yes…"

Silence surrounded the two after Y/N's answer. A slight smile curved on Jinyoung's lips when he looked at Y/N's face.

"How about you hyung? Any plans on getting married too?" He sent back a smile towards the older man.

"Me?" He stopped and thought. "Not yet. I'll let you get married first," he leaned back against the bench.

Y/N smiled sheepishly before he sat down beside Jinyoung. He had been someone who took care of him since his teenage years, even more than his father did.

Jinyoung did well in an unofficial role of a big brother. Not everyone can handle Y/N in his early days as an actor, but the man prevailed.

"Take care of her," he patted Y/N on his back. "And make sure I'm one of your groomsmen."

The two burst into laughter, each of them knowing they're taking their next step in life. It's time to stop fooling around and take the leap of faith in life.

Y/N got out of the car and walked alongside his manager with his phone in hand. A ding ringed in the air and Y/N smiled widely when he read a text message from his father. The manager noticed his smile and sent him a playful nudge.

“Is it from your someone special?~”

“Quit butting into my life Yejun-ah,” Y/N teased him.

“S-sorry hyung…”

“Yah, I’m just kidding. Don’t be so down,” he playfully slapped Yejun on his shoulder. “It’s from my father, that’s all.”
