"The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why."

- Mark Twain

"Goodnight baby. I love you, sleep tight." My mommy says as she kisses my forehead.

"I'm not tired." I tell her and sit up.

"Leila sleep is good for you, and you know what's great about sleeping?"

I cross my arms and try my best to ignore her because I do not want to go to sleep, but she starts talking again.

"We get to dream. I'm sure you've dreamt of something before. It's when you go to sleep and while you are asleep you get to see all of the thoughts in your brain."

"Like a movie?" I ask her.

"Yes princess, just like a movie." Mommy says and moves the hair out of my face.

I lay back down covering myself, "Okay I'm gonna dream of something cool. There's gonna be a big castle, nice people, lots and lots of different flowers...hmmm oh-"

Mommy laughs and kisses me once more. "That sounds very cool! Dream of that and when you wake up tomorrow we can do something fun."

"But what if I want to keep dreaming."

"I'm afraid you can only dream for a while darling and then you have to come back when you wake up."

"But mommy I don't want to! My dream is going to be awesome." I say mad.

"Leila shhh calm down it's time to go to sleep now. I love you, goodnight."

My lights turn off and mommy leaves the door open a little. I shut my eyes and keep thinking of what I want to dream of.

My light in my room hurts my eyes and I block it with my hand.

"Mommy turn off the light."

She didn't answer. When I open my eyes it's not my light that was hurting my eyes it was the sun.

I sit up and wonder if I'm in the backyard.

"Hello!" A hear someone yell from the other side of the garden I was laying down in.

I stand up fast and see a boy who looks my age running to me.

"Hi! You're not suppose to be in the garden. Alexander will be mad and blame me." The boy says taking my arm and pulling me with him.

"Where am I?" I ask.

The boy stops and gives me a weird look "What do you mean? Did you bump your head on something?" He laughs.

"No.. Ohh! I'm dreaming. This is my dream." I smile.

The boy again gives me a weird look.

"You're dreaming right now? That's weird. You usually come here when you die." He says.

My eyes began to water "I'm dead?! I'm in heaven?"

"No this isn't heaven. This is Arythea."
(uh-reth-ia)
"Arythea?"

"Yes Arythea. The planet of the Greek Goddess, Iris."

I look around and it's so pretty. There's a big castle not too far away, plenty of gardens that have flowers I've never seen before and then a pretty ocean.

"Well why am I here if I didn't die?" I ask and we begin walking again.

"I don't know we'll have to ask Aura and Alexander." He says.

"Who is Aura and Alexander?"

"They are very important. The Goddess, Iris, chose them to be king and queen of Arythea, and only they get to see Iris." He says excitedly.

"Anyways I'm Harry, what's your name?" He continues.

"I'm Leila Rose, and I'm 8 years old."

"Well I'm 9 years old, but it's okay we can still be friends." He smiles.

When we enter the big castle there are lots of paintings on the walls, and soldiers who are walking around.

"Harry you aren't suppose to be bringing guests who aren't invited in here." A solider says pointing at me.

"But it's important! I need to see Aura and Alexander." He says and gets a better grip on my arm.

"Okay okay settle down." He says and pats Harry's head then leads the way.

It takes a while to climb up all the stairs to get to the 10th floor where Harry says Aura and Alexander's room is.

"Finally! We are here" I say breathing hard.

The solider then knocks on the big door with diamonds on it.
