"She was free in her wildness. She was a wanderess, a drop of free water."

Harry's P.O.V
I sat next to Leila eagerly waiting for her to wake.
A few minutes past and she finally began to stir a little.
"Leila wake up." I whined.
"Hi Harry." She said as she rubbed her eyes and slowly sat up.
"How was your first day of 6th grade?" I ask her.
"It was alright. I made a friend I think."
"What do you mean you think?" I lightly laughed.
She shifted her gaze to her hands and starts pulling at her fingers.
"Well I was sitting alone at a table during lunch and a girl sat with me, but we didn't talk to each other so never mind I don't think I did." She said too quickly it was hard for me to keep up.
I grab her hand and she looked at me with a frown.
"I'm sure she wants to be your friend. Maybe she was just as nervous as you were for the first day of middle school." I tell her smiling.
She returns a smile back and bounces of the bed.
"Enough about school. What are we doing today?" She asks.
"Alexander wants us to get some food from the gardens, the villages are running out." I say getting off the bed as well.
Before we left I grabbed two large baskets so we had somewhere to put the foods.
The walk up the hill was quiet which was odd. Leila and I always had something to talk about. She was walking slowly behind me.
"Is something wrong?" I turn around.
She looks up from the ground and nods no and smiles. I wait for her to catch up with me and continue walking.
When we found a good spot to start filling the baskets I handed her one. She hummed lightly as we worked and I enjoyed the sound.
Minutes flew by and our baskets were full.
"Let's rest for a little before we head back." I suggest.
"Yeah that sounds good." She says and lays down on the very green grass with her palms facing up.
I lay next to her and stare up at the sky.
"I wish I had two bodies. Being stuck in one body frustrates me, it'd be nice to inhabit more than one place at a time." I break the silence.
"It's not as great as it sounds Harry. Believe me." Leila replies with a sigh.
"How come?" I furrow my eyebrows.
"It's tiring and confusing since you're basically in two completely different moods at the same time and it's hard trying to forget about my other life while here or trying to forget about here while there."
"I love it here though. It's so much better and I feel much safer here than there." She adds sitting up.
I turn my head to look at her. She puts her arms behind her and leans on them. Her eyes shut lightly and she's looks so free as the wind blows her hair out of her face.
"I'm sorry you have a really perplex life or should I say lives." I joke trying to lighten to mood, and it did when it caused Leila to snicker.
I sit up and rest my forearms on my knees, clasping my hands together.
We sat there for a while listening to the wind, the waves crashing in the distance, and the birds singing.
"Shall we head back now before Alexander sends someone looking for us?" Leila jokes.
Every time we take too long Alexander sends a soldier, or a close friend of his to get us.
We laugh and I get up and then offer Leila my hand, helping her up on her feet.
The baskets were heavy and it was a struggle carrying them down the hill, but we eventually made it.
When we got inside the castle two cooks took them and headed to the kitchen.
"You're welcome." I mumbled and Leila giggled.
"Oh remember how I started drawing you? Well I'm almost done, c'mon." I say as I start heading up the stairs to my room.
Once we reach my room I open the door and step aside allowing Leila to enter first.
She sits down on my bed and I dig through my drawer finding the sketch and a pencil.
"I just need to add a few more things and I'll be finished in a few minutes." I say sitting across from her.
"How did you finish so quickly? I've only sat down while you drew me once." She asks.
"Keep still. I'm a quick drawer I guess." I say but the truth was I just drew her while she slept. I'm not gonna tell her of course because that's weird.
She nodded and stared at my hands as I softly drew her hair, finishing the picture.
"Okay. I'm done" I say taking one last glance at what I had drew. Her face lit up and tried grabbing it.
"Calm down you'll ruin it before you even see it."
I turned the paper around showing her.
"This is amazing!" She says a little too loud and gently takes it, studying it closer.
My eyes shift to the clock in front of my bed and my eyes widen.
"Leila!" I shout pointing to the clock.
She winces and jumps up frightened.
I immediately feel guilty. "I'm so sorry I didn't mean to scare you, but look at the time. You were suppose to be back 40 minutes ago."
She turns and looks at the clock and back at me, eyes wide.
"Well come on hurry and lay down, I'll carry you to your room after you've fallen asleep."
She lays down and I quickly put my hands on both sides of her face.
"Donec iterum conveniant."
