- AAAHHH!!! Save me, Aqua and Eugene!!! Save me!!! - Kazuma shouts at the top of his lungs, as one of the toads is jumping after him.
Aqua's laughing at the sight. - This is hysterical! You should see how red your face is, Kazuma! You look so desperate! - She shouts and continues laughing.
"If I get out of this alive, I'll kill her!" Kazuma thinks while running.
"She's totally useless..." Eugene thinks to himself as he starts preparing his gun for battle.
With the weapon already out and with its original size, he lies down on the ground and takes a sniping position. The light strips on the sides of his gun light up with a light gray colour. He aims the sniper at the toad and pulls the trigger.
Like with an ordinary gun, there's muzzle flash and recoil. The light strips on the gun turn black.
A metallic projectile flies out of the muzzle and hits the toad in the center of the body.
The shell creates a hole into the toad, however it is instantly stopped by the toad's slimy body, before it deals any real damage to it. The toad completely ignores the attack and continues chasing Kazuma.
- ...Is that a non-penetration? - Eugene asks in video game terminology.
The light strips start filling up with the same light gray colour as before, starting at the rear end of the strips and moving towards the front of the gun's body at a rate of 2 centimetres per second.
- Looks like you can't defeat it either... - Aqua says.
Eugene ignores her, as he's wondering what the lights could mean. "Huh....... Interesting... The light gets depleted when I fire and then starts refilling itself... Does that display the reload speed?" He thinks to himself.
Aqua takes a few steps forward. - Alright Kazuma! If you really want me to save you, we'll have to agree on something!
The toad loses interest in chasing Kazuma as it looks at Eugene and Aqua, before starting to move toward them.
"Is she really this stupid? And you're telling me she's a goddess...?" Eugene thinks.
- First, when we get back into town, you're going to join the Axis Sect and pray to me 3 times a day. - Aqua starts.
The toad is approaching them, and has now switched its focus to Aqua, since she's closer.
- Second, at meal time if I ask for something off your plate, you have to give it to me. - she continues.
The toad is sitting in front of Aqua now, and is ready to eat her alive.
The light gray colour of the neon lights on Eugene's weapon reaches the front edge of the lights, briefly flashing in a green colour, before returning to light gray.
- And third-... - she doesn't manage to finish her sentence before the frog closes its mouth and grabs her top half.
