Third Person P.O.V:
Charles was walking around the music room of Henry's mansion.
He noticed a piano standing there. A light shined on it from a nearby window. He walked over to this piano and sat down. He took a deep breath and mumbled, "It's been awhile..."
🎶"Here's the thing, I can't do anything right.."🎶
He sang as memories all came back.
-- Flashback --
🎶Try as I absolutely, totally might🎶
He was finally starting for the government, he had waited his whole life for this moment.
🎶The bones are melting, the skeleton is ash🎶
On the grassy area, he saw multiple people training and practicing.
🎶The clavicle detaches and falls with a deafening crash🎶
He walked over to where he was supposed to go to fly his helicopter. He started it up after sitting in the driver's seat, and flew up into the sky.
🎶And I'm not your protagonist🎶
He looked over and saw a large pile of bags and whatnot.
🎶I'm not even my own🎶
His brain just, switched from reality to fantasy. He all of a sudden decided to crash into it.
🎶I don't know anything🎶
He lunged in the direction of the pile and crashed head first into it.
🎶I don't even know what I don't know🎶
After the dust clears up, he could see multiple people running over and panicking.
🎶And if you look outside you'll see🎶
He walked off and dusted himself off, he only had a few bruises.
🎶Disintegrating trees🎶
People ran up to him and started to... scream?
🎶The artificial way the sunlight bounces🎶
He had been silently panicking as everyone screamed and yelled in his face.
🎶Off the waxy leaves🎶
He felt a hole, digging itself inside his chest where his heart used to be.
🎶My heart catches on every thorn🎶
He didn't understand, what happened back there? Why did he feel like this.
🎶You're already halfway out the door🎶
After driving home, he laid on his bed.
🎶And I've never looked so old🎶
His cold apartment had made him a bit chilly so he checked the thermostat.
🎶And I have never been so cold🎶
It was 85 degrees, why had he been cold?
🎶And it is 85 degrees🎶
He sighed and screamed out;
"🎶I don't know what I need🎶..."
After going to the doctor the next day, he was diagnosed with ADHD. He knew he was autistic for his whole life, but now this?
This was like a nightmare.
He had been given two canisters of pills, "Take two a day, one at night, one in the morning," they told him.
🎶There's lukewarm herbal mango sweet hibiscus tea🎶
When he got home, he chocked down the pill and laid down.
🎶On the hot garbage pile in which I fucking sleep🎶
He eventually feel asleep, dreaming about what happened.
🎶The walls are empty it's so ugly I could🎶
Everyone began to become larger, all facing him. They started to screamed and yell at him for standing.
🎶Burn the whole place down🎶
Then breathing.
🎶It wouldn't catch 'cause all the posters🎶
Then being alive.
🎶Are on their way to my hometown🎶
He woke up with a cold sweat rolling down his face. He covered his face with his hands and cried.
-- PRESENT DAY --
🎶And I am not your protagonist🎶, he screamed.
He sang while tears filled his eyes;
🎶I'm not even my own🎶
🎶I don't know anything🎶
🎶I don't even know what I don't know🎶
From outside, Ellie and Henry heard him, watching from the door.
🎶And if you look outside you'll see🎶
🎶Disintegrating trees🎶
🎶The artificial way the sunlight bounces🎶
🎶Off the glitching leaves🎶
Tears poured down Charles' face, realizing what a loser he really was.
🎶My wet heart catches on every thorn🎶
How pathetic he was.
🎶You're already halfway out the door🎶
🎶And I'm so tiny and so old🎶
He slowly became quieter.
"🎶And God it's never been so cold🎶..
🎶And it is 85 degrees🎶..."
He inhaled and screamed;
"🎶I don't know what I need🎶...."
Henry and Ellie walked in and tried to comfort the young former-pilot.
"Shh, shh..," Henry told him, "It was a long time ago..."
They both hugged him as Ellie whispered to Henry, "Why is YOUR boyfriend crying?"
"I'll tell you later," Henry hissed at her.
