"Jayy," I mumble, tracing his chest tattoo as we lie in bed together

"Yes?" He replies, looking away from his phone

"How have Dahvie, Josh, and Amy been?" I ask

He sighs heavily, "They aren't good. Dahvie always cries himself to sleep, Amy and Josh are too distraught and out of touch with the world to truly believe you were gone. We all took it pretty hard, a part of us was taken," He states, rubbing his fingers on my nude arm

I feel the tears well in my eyes, "I'm so sorry,"

"Hey, don't cry. It wasn't your fault you had left. We couldn't have saved you if we tried," He mumbles, "Maybe you'd still be the old you if we hadn't gone to that meet-n-greet,"

"Don't blame yourself. Nobody could've known Ember would've come in such a shitty way," I laugh quietly

"Speaking of her, wanna come meet her?" He smiles

My eyes light up, "Yes!" I almost scream

He gets out of bed, flashing his bare ass before covering himself with boxers. He throws me some clean boxers and his shirt as we head to the nursery where Ember lay.

He opens the door as quietly as possible, leaving me at the doorway to walk to the tiny pink crib we had bought together. The tears start to fall as he turns around, holding a tiny pink blanket, with a tiny little hand coming from the top. He coos at the child, glancing at me, "Someone wants to meet you,"

I walk forward, hesitation in my body. What if she didn't like me? What if she didn't remember me?

I'm suddenly in front of him, glancing at the little bundle. He hands her to me, and I all but sob as I catch a glimpse of her angelic face. She has my eyes, Jayy's hair, his chin, my dimple, his ears, my nose.

He wraps his arms around us as I cry, cradling her to my chest. She tugs on my hair lightly, weakly. My eyes can't leave hers, "My little girl," I cry

She stares back, and I swore I could see a glint of happiness in her tiny eyes. She closes her eyes, leaning her head on the swell of my breast. I look up at Jayy, who's crying silently.

"We're finally a family," He murmurs against my forehead

The moment is ruined when someone speaks, "Showing your kid to a bootycall huh Jayy?"
