Keepers 2: Reclaiming Lost Glory

I refuse to sacrifice my people for my own selfish desires. That’s why I’ve managed to maintain my sanity despite the urge to wreak havoc outside the town. I still have patience, but I can’t ignore the fact that I’m dying to seek revenge on those who wronged my family.

Especially to those who hurt my people.

I roll my eyes as I take another apple and took a bite. “Well, I guess, it’s better not to cross paths with them,” I said, as I stood up, planning to leave. “Bilisan mo, bago pa ako tamarin,” tamad kong wika habang palayo na sa kaniya.

“Hoy, saglit lang naman! Parang ‘di kaibigan!”

Hindi ko na lamang siya pinansin at nagpatuloy na lamang sa paglalakad. I’m calm, or rather, I’m exerting self-control to avoid playing with those students. Wal also informed me these representatives are the most exceptional students from that prestigious academy.

But they’re not just representatives and exceptional students; they’re also royalty, sons and daughters of the kings and queens of the Magimus Realm. Their visit serves a dual purpose: to ensure we’re not plotting a rebellion and to purchase products.

Especially, herbal plants and potions exclusive only to Lotus Town.

Our town is a botanical treasure trove, boasting a wide variety of plants, including some of the rarest species just like what I’ve said. We’re also the leading supplier of various potions, particularly antidotes found nowhere else, but only here in our town.

Typically, six representatives from different kingdoms visit our town to meet their needs while simultaneously keeping an eye on us. It’s a win-win situation, benefiting both our town and the representatives.

The profits we earn from selling our medical plants and potions are substantial. However, I’ve implemented a limit and ensured they pay a premium for our products. Kaya mas doble ang presyo paglabas nila ng bayan.

No one can dispute my decision, especially our buyers. While we have an abundance of medicinal herbs and expertise in potion-making, it’s crucial to ensure that we receive fair compensation, knowing how cunning they can be.

But I am more cunning than them.

As the sole supplier, we have a significant advantage, which I’ve leveraged to our benefit. It’s a simple matter of take it or leave it. While the Magimus Realm boasts the City of Divine, a haven for healers, even they rely on our products.

Since not all healing abilities can cure every ailment, and our unique resources offer solutions they can’t provide. See? Kahit kinikilala kaming traydor ay hindi pa rin nila ipagkaiilang kailangan nila kami at ang mga produkto namin.

Even though they may be reluctant to admit it, they ultimately need our resources. They’ve had to swallow their pride and acknowledge our crucial role in this realm. Of course, I’m aware that some will attempt to sabotage our success again and tarnish our reputation.

Ako pa ang hinamon talaga nila. Tangina nila.

That’s why I’ve implemented proactive measures to safeguard our town. Our town is just beginning to rise from its ashes, and I won’t allow anyone to hinder our progress. I am determined to achieve even greater prosperity than before.

Something that will send shockwaves through those councils, just like they fear.

We’ve arrived at Oleander Street, our first target and Lizzie’s students are now ready to begin their rounds. Mayroong nakatayong medical camp dito at nagsisimula na sila. Hindi lamang si Lizzie ang nag-a-assist sa kanila dahil may iba rin siyang kasamang mentors.
