Getting to know you

Yelena POV

Fingers snap in front of my face and I snap out of it looking at Nat.

"You in there?" She asks me smirking and I just nod my head.

"Yeah yeah I am" I say.

"What do you think about the new recruit Erin?" She asks me and my mind immediately goes toward her beautiful eyes.

"Yeah she's great" I say.

"Really we haven't even seen her in battle yet?" She asks me and I just stare at her. Her smirk grows.

"I mean you were just looking at her boobs all the time" she says and my eyes go wide.

"No, I was not!" She laughs.

"Don't worry I took a peek too" she says and I just stare at her as she laughs. Just then Peter walks in looking between us.

"What's so funny?" He asks and my face goes red.

"Believe me Parker you don't want to know" Nat says and he just shrugs his shoulders. I lean closer to Nat to whisper to you her.

"I was not looking at her boobs!" I whisper shout.

"Calm down I'm messing with you" she says and I look away from her and towards the hallway looking for Erin.

"Even though you did" I quickly turn my head towards her and hit her on the shoulder which makes her laugh again. She moves away and heads to the kitchen area. I look down the hallway again but only Tony comes out.

"Alright everyone I want you guys to settle in today, tomorrow we will discuss things but for now I have things to do" Tony says before heading into one of the rooms.

"I'll be back" I tell Nat and she nods her head at me before popping open a bottle of water. I head down the hallway heading towards the rooms. 

I walk towards Erin's door and stand in front of it.

"This is stupid" I mumble to myself but I slowly lift my hand up and knock on the door. I hear shuffling in the room before I hear her voice and the door opens.

"Peter I told you to leave me alone-" she stops talking once she sees me.

"Oh sorry I thought you were my brother" she says smiling at me.

"No problem" I say looking at her. She leans her shoulder against the door still holding it half-open.

"Is there something you want?" she asks me and I blush.

"Uhm...I wanted to ahh...you know get to know each other" I say and she slightly tilts her head.

"You know because we are going to be spending a lot of time together I thought we should get to know each other" I say to her and her smile grows.

"Yeah sure, come on in" she says opening the door wider for me. I step into her room. It was very plain with just a double-sized bed in the middle of the room with two bedside tables beside it, a cupboard, a huge glass window, and a bathroom on the right. It looked exactly like all the other rooms Tony has. She closes the door and walks over to her bed taking a seat on it and crossing her legs. She looked adorable. I take a seat next to her with a reasonable distance between us.

"So what do you want to know?" she asks and I look at her.

"Uhm how old are you?" I ask.

"23" she says.

"You?"

"25" she nods her head.

"Where do you live?" I ask.

"Queens, New York" she says and I nod my head. She smiles at me.

"I was going to ask you where you live but judging by your sexy thick Russian accent I'm going to presume it's Russia" she says and my heart skips a beat. Did she just say sexy?

"Yeah" I say and she laughs.

"What did you do before this?" I ask her.

"Oh I'm in the military" she says and I nod my head.

"what about you?" she asks me and I look down.

"It's a hard topic to talk about" I say playing with my fingers.

"Oh I'm sorry I didn't mean to put you in that position" she says and I look back up.

"No it's alright you had the right to ask" I say and she nods her head.

"How about parents?" I ask her and she sighs.

"My parents died in a plane crash when I was 10" she says looking down.

"Oh I'm so sorry" I say and she shakes her head.

"It's alright it was a lot harder on my brother since he was so young he didn't understand that our parents weren't coming back" she says looking back up at me and giving me a sad smile.

"How about your parents?" she asks and I bite my lip.

"It's quite complicated and you have to know the whole story to understand but I was assigned to play the younger daughter to Alexei Shostakov and Melina Vostokoff with Nat as my older sister" I say and she looks at me.

"So Natasha isn't your real sister?" she asks and I nod my head.

"But she means everything to me just like a real sister" I say and Erin nods her head.

"Damn your story seems intense" I laugh and nod my head.

"Yeah, you have no idea" I say and she smiles.

"You know when my brother was about 12 or so he always got bullied by this one older guy, he was about a year younger than me and this guy would never leave Peter alone so I eventually had enough of it and I went up to this guy and I punched him" she says and I smile.

"What did the guy do?" I ask.

"He punched me back" she says and I frown.

"Did he hurt you?" I ask her.

"Sort of but I did worse to him, I just attacked him and broke his nose" she says and I laugh.

"I got suspended for a week" she says and laughs and I laugh with her.

"Is that what sparked your interest to join the army?" I ask.

"I guess, I had been boxing since I was 15 and I did a lot of sports but I mainly just wanted to help people" she says and I nod my head looking into her eyes.

"I don't know even know why I told you that story" she says not breaking eye contact with me.

"I'm glad you did" I say and she smiles. We just stare at each other for what felt like forever before the door slammed open giving both of us a fright.

"Peter!" she shouts and I look at Peter. He just smiles at us.

"Oops, sorry to disturb but Nat is looking for you Yelena" he says and I nod my head and stand up.

"Oh alright" I say looking at Izzie.

"So talk to you tomorrow?" I ask her and she smiles.

"Definitely" she says and I smile back before walking out. I head into the main living area and see Nat in the kitchen area. When she sees me she raises one eyebrow.

"Have fun in there?" she asks and I roll my eyes and she starts laughing.
