The Afterlife

VI- Human

I open my eyes noticing I am near a lake . I can still see the particles floating around me, I quickly grab the necklace that fell on the grass and I run towards the city.

When I arrive at it I start looking for someone, someone that I know a long time ago, someone who is my best friend , someone amazing, someone... "Jay!!" I see that someone grabbing groceries at a mini market that's open 24h . She didn't noticed me so I did the only reasonable thing to do in this case.

"What in the world?" " Hello Jay" I am right in front my friend and I'm pretty sure she still hasn't realized that she's talking to a cat.

You see, humans normally don't have the ability to see ghosts/souls , all tho! Some can see us, and if you are very powerful or more powerful than average then , when on the Overworld, you can transform into an animal and walk around and interact with them even if you shouldn't . Jay can see me but they didn't had noticed me which made her not see me. So I threw an apple to her face which she noticed me instantly.

"Alexis? Hello! How are you? Wait are you supposed to be here?"
"Of course not, I'll try and explain it to you when we arrive at your house ok? Good"
"Wait, I still need to buy groceries" "Do it quick"

She grabs the last things she needs and goes to pay. She arrive shortly all ready and we walk to her house.

We arrive at a building that's not very big, it has a garden on the front with very different flowers, some red, some yellow and some purple. The yellow is my favorite, it's a buttercup . I love flowers but buttercups are my favorite, I don't know why, they just are. We enter her small apartment and she goes right to the kitchen. Because of family she lives here alone, she's 2 years older than me which means she's 16. She lives alone since her 13's so she's used to it.

I look to her while she starts preparing things for her dinner. She is a beautiful girl. She has long black hairs that are often on a very messy bun, her skin is kinda dark and she has pretty grey eyes. She has some scars left on her face due to fighting a lot and she has a birth mark on her neck which people could see it very easily. I envy her, she's not scared to show her body and thinks that it is beautiful. I couldn't agree with her more it is very-

"Hijo de puta!" And my thoughts are interrupted by an angry Mexican teenager burning herself while cooking . She puts what she was holding down and goes to the bathroom while telling me to watch the food so it didn't burned. I get out of the countertop and go to the oven where she was making store bought lasagna. She must have burned herself while taking it off which is surprising to be honest. Oh well.

Jay is eating right now while I sit in front of her. "Do you need something Alexis? Also what happened with your arm?" "I broke it and I need nothing just wanted to talk to my friend. Can't I do that? " I say making dramatic gestures "Dude I love talking to you but I think you will get in trouble " "Why is that?" " Death is calling you by the necklace " she says while pointing at it "Oh sh- Got to go! I'll come back later!" I say while making a portal to it " Good bye , Loverboy"

That's the last thing I hear after entering the portal and arriving at Locus home , the place where I went to the Overworld.
