Sky Sports: We have some breaking news in the world of Formula 1. Daniel Ricciardo has officially announced he will be leaving Red Bull at the end of the season. Where is he going. To the new team Blanc & Eclare F1 who will be rebranded in Aston Martin Blanc & Eclare F1. So in addition to getting Jenson Button as advisor, they now have 7 time race winner Daniel Ricciardo alongside Sonne Celes Jung. This has come 3 days after his victory in the USA grand prix. In a statement that Ricciardo put out he states:

"I have officially decided to leave Red Bull Racing at the end of the 2017 season. It has been a wonderful 10 years at Red Bull, and I am grateful for the chance that they have given me. I wish them all the best in the future, and I will put my best effort into the last 3 races of 2017"

Blanc & Eclare has also put out a statement and Jessica Jung:

"We are happy to announce that Daniel Ricciardo has agreed to sign with Blanc & Eclare F1 on a multi-year deal. The seven-time race winner is a one-of-a-kind driver and can help us get to the front of the field and by 2020-2021 we can fight at the front for consistent podiums and potentially wins"

"Welcome to Blanc & Eclare Daniel Ricciardo. Thank you for putting trust into the project that we have and let's give it our all for the next few years ahead of us"

Christian Horner was looking at the news and was simply in a state of shock. Crap??? Now what: 'sigh'. Helmut, you really are pushing your luck sometimes I wonder why I still put up with your BS. 'sigh'.

Christian then took out a piece of paper that Jessica gave him during their last true formal interaction that was not a press conference and dialed in a number.

3 days later...

Sky Sports: We have some more breaking news coming again from Red Bull. Christian Horner has announced that he will resign at the end of the season. This is the statement that was put out...

Thursday press conference...

Tom Clarkson: Well. Let's start off with what just happened over the past 2 weeks. Daniel Ricciardo and Sonne Celes Jung. So next year you will be teammates at Blanc & Eclare which is going through a rebrand next year. Daniel can we start with you. What made that decision to jump shift over to Blanc & Eclare given their position and their uncertain engine especially in 2019?

Daniel: Uhm...yah it has been crazy I know but Jessica assured me on some aspects that the engine is something they will have complete control over. Celes here is a fast driver but his character is different to that of Max. He still has some growing up to do but I think for my career it is the best situation out there.

Clarkson: And Celes. New teammate one which many see as a future world champion. How are you reactions?

Celes: I was consulted on this decision and this is in no ways saying I can choose just that Jessica wanted me to be as comfortable as possible with Daniel. Obviously I know Daniel from my Red Bull days so...it's interesting on that dynamic again (laugh). Uh but yah this is only my first season in Formula 1 and while I am expected to help Daniel with that transition, I will also be learning more from him on how he works are the factory, his braking etc and how to do stuff. I'm honestly quite excited with this prospect. I'm not opposed to it simply because I know I'm not by any stretch ready for a title challenge yet and seeing Daniel hopefully lead that charge will maybe spark something. He is after all the team leader.

The race: Uh Daniel given how that you're jumping shift to another team with a highly rated prospect and the cousin of the owner, how does this differ from Max and Red Bull?

Daniel: It differs a lot. Christian sometimes talks a lot of crap and while I have a good working relationship with Helmut sometimes he does tend to favor Max. But I was given direct assurance from Jessica Jung that we will be treated as equals. So that helps. But we are in a bit of a search right now but even if it's Christian, I won't have a problem as it's mostly Helmut Marko, not him.
