"You said you won't harm anyone I care about, right?" A pause. I hear a growl come from the other side of the phone followed by a big crash.

"Why do you care about Chloe Bourgeois?!" He demanded. "She treats you like you're nothing when it's the exact opposite! Found you." I hear a scream and know he found Chloe.

"Chat, stop it!" I scream. I can't help sneezing and the other side of the phone goes quiet. I think he hung up until he spoke.

"Are you outside?" I don't answer. I hear a jingle and remember the bell I saw on his costume earlier. I hear a click and look down at my phone to find that he hung up. Feeling my blood go cold, I ran in the direction of Chloe's penthouse.

As I pass under another lamppost, I hear a whoosh and turn to find Chat Blanc standing directly in front of me with his head bowed. When he looks up, there's fury in his eyes.

"What are you doing here?!" He demands, stalking towards me. I step back, terrified. He reaches forward and grabs my hands, pulling me toward him. "I won't hurt you but this is stupid!"

"What's stupid?" I demand, glaring up at him. "Trying to protect someone you're trying to kill because they gave me a few bruises?" Chat Blanc takes a hold of my jacket and, before I can do anything, he rips it off, exposing me to the freezing cold rain.

I was wearing only a tank top and shorts. My house got hot at night and I hated sleeping without a blanket. Chat holds my arms up to the light and looks them over. In the light of the lamppost, the bruises were obvious on my stark skin.

"A few bruises." He repeats, shaking his head in disgust. He drops my arms and throws my jacket at me. He walks a few feet away as I wrap the jacket around my shoulders, shivering. Now that he wasn't hurting Chloe and I had nothing to worry about, the cold was starting to seep into me.

"What was I supposed to do?" I ask him, starting to feel weak. Chat Blanc turns and gazes at me with his pale blue eyes. "Let you kill her? Bully or not, she doesn't deserve to die."

I cough into my hand and shiver. My jacket was soaked to the seam and was doing nothing to protect me against the continuous downpour. Chat Blanc stepped toward me but I was too tired to fight him when he wrapped his arms around me.

He was warm, despite his chilling appearance. His arms were strong and comforting as they held me up. My legs were starting to feel weak and all I wanted to do was lay down. My head rolled back and I realized I was no longer standing. Chat Blanc had picked me up and had started running down the street.

My heart leapt into my chest when he jumped high into the air and propelled us onto the rooftop. He ran and the experience was thrilling. It felt like the rain couldn't catch us as the wind swept by. That's when I noticed Chat Noir was running away from my house.
