I pulled up to Trae's house, parking my car and putting the keys in my pocket. I went up to the front door and lightly knocked. Trae opened it, with much confusion, letting me inside.

"Hey baby," he slurred kissing me on the lips. He already had a bottle of Bud Light in his right hand and you could smell the alcohol on his breath. He led me to the back door where the music was playing loudly. There were people from school dancing and drinking all over the yard. One boy was bent over hurling in the grass. Many of the girls sat trying to seduce their boyfriends. Someone handed me a red cup and I instantly took a swig, feeling the burning sensation go down my throat.

"I'm going over to talk to the guys, I will come find you after while," he said stumbling off and winking at me. I wonder how much he drank before I arrived.

"Lena, you're finally here!" Dani cried running over to me.

"I just got here and Trae is already drunk and you aren't exactly sober yourself," I say hugging her.

"Thats what happens when you get here so late silly."

"The party always starts at 8:00 and it isn't even 7:30."

"Exactly!" She replies. Not understanding her logic, I shrug it off. "Come on lets mingle!" Dani squeals pulling me to a big group. I chug the drink in my hand and follow her.

"Lena, I didn't think you were going to show up. Your always here before the party starts," Luke says taking a sip of his drink.

"Same, mom wouldn't let me out of the house," I reply taking his cup and also chugging that one down. It hurt my throat and I ended up coughing. I was so excited and wanted to get drunk as fast as possible.

"Someone's had a bad day. Want to talk about it?" Luke asks sweetly. Luke has always been one of those people who would always be there for you, until you piss him off. Then he would make your life hell.

"Nope, I want to forget about it," I say turning to look for an unopened bottle. I spotted one sitting on the concrete and quickly went to get it, with Luke following behind me.

"I think it would be better if you told me about it. I'm sure you'd feel way better also. It isn't good to drink as much as you do," he said catching up to me.

"I doubt it, I think I'll pour out my feelings into this here bottle," I said popping open the cap and taking a big gulp.

Luke sighed, "We used to be best friends until you started doing this."

"What is exactly?"

"This habit of drinking your problems away, you used to always tell me what was wrong and now you hardly notice me." He wasn't wrong, we were friends once and I still remembered waking him up in middle of the night because I couldn't sleep. I used to tell him everything, but when I met Trae, he took me to a party and it all went down hill from there. I liked the feeling of forgetting my life for a while.

"I'm sorry you dwell on the past," I replied walking back over to Dani. Luke shook his head and turned, walking the other way.

The rest of the party was spent with drinking my life away and flirting with random people. Trae and I met up during the party and went up stairs getting down and dirty. At the one point, I was frustrated with trying to unbutton my pants and ended up walking out on Trae mumbling how I needed another Jack Daniels.

When I ended up falling downstairs I got pissed and went to find Dani so I could go home. Searching for her was easy as always. She was by the pool getting comfortable with some random person. I went up to her yelling, "Get in the car! Were going on a road trip!" Dani squealed with delight and let go of the boy's hand coming over to me.

"He's annoying, Lena! Why do people have to be cute but nasty! Why Lena, why!" Dani cried. She kept mumbling on about the random boy and ended up singing about giraffes, giggling after every word. I forgot about everything and joined in on her singing.

When we got to the car she yelled, "I'll drive!" This was just another normal Friday night for me.
