🥀🥀🥀
brown guilty eyes, little white lies. yeah, i played dumb, but i always knew.
wooyoung situated himself among his wide collection of polaroids sprawled across his bed. he always wanted to fill an entire column of his white, plain walls with his favorite memories captured on these films. today, though, he had detached a large amount from his wall, feeling demotivated to refill them.
one particular picture stole his attention; it was a picture of him, his boyfriend san, and his best friend yeosang seated at a picnic table by a nearby park. a small smile made its way to wooyoung's lips as he stared at the genuine happiness he saw in his gaze; the gaze fixated on his, now ex, boyfriend. the smile immediately flattered as he finally caught on to what was actually happening in that picture.
san wasn't looking at him. no, no. san was looking at someone else, someone special. his eyes were lovingly gazing at the blond sat across from him, his best friend, yeosang. what hurt more was; yeosang was too. how blind was wooyoung in love, not to notice this at the time? all he could remember back then was how he was admiring san's side profile with the view laying behind him. he even took a candid picture of him like that as a memory.
that you'd talk to him, maybe did even worse. i kept quiet so i could keep you.
wooyoung, however, wasn't always clueless to the signs in front of him. he would realize the little stares sent back and forth, having almost a secret, silent conversation with their eyes. he thought, maybe, they created a close bond of understanding each other. a close bond indeed was created.
a lone tear fell down his face as he continued to look through the pictures, now finally seeing everything displayed in front of him. it hurt, obviously. your best friend and boyfriend at the time, you know, hitting it off, behind your back. wooyoung couldn't say that was what hurt most though; ending it was. breaking it off with san and ending his 5 year friendship with yeosang after discovering — that's what hurt him most.
he was left feeling broken while they were probably in each other's arms right now.
ain't it funny, how you ran to him the second we called it quits?
wooyoung recalled, very clearly, when him and san broke up and he was on the verge of tears. he remembered how he called his best friend over, only to get neglected and hear yeosang say he's busy — when he could clearly hear san's voice in the background, calling him over. he stayed quiet though, deciding he didn't have a say anymore.
though, that was the turning point in wooyoung's life; a very difficult one, at that. after that call, he cut connections with yeosang slowly. yeosang, obviously very confused, tried contacting him, only to be shut down. after many failed tries, he stopped. he stopped trying to reach out, to console him, confront him, maybe, or be his friend. he just left. yes, that's what wooyoung wanted, but was it really? he hated to admit it, but he missed him. missed them. he wanted to try harder for the relationship to work out, but soon realized he couldn't.
