we found each other, i helped you out of a broken place.

san recalled the first time he met wooyoung. one fateful night, san met the young boy at a bar. the dark haired boy was there to pick up his friend, mingi, who worked as a barista there. upon arriving, san noticed that mingi was currently busy attending to a group of drunk men, so he decided to wait around. that's when he spotted a crying figure seated at a secluded stool by the bar.

san couldn't just leave the poor boy without at least comforting him. so, he walked over to the empty stool next to the unnamed boy. he sat watching as the boy's body shook violently for a bit before tapping his shoulder lightly. the boy instantly tensed as he glanced up to see the unfamiliar face that decided to approach him.

"are you okay, sir?" san cringed at his stupid question. of course, he's not okay, san. he's clearly crying.

the boy scoffed. "does it look like i'm okay?!" expecting this answer, san hesitantly placed a hand on the latter's shoulder, immediately retracting it as he felt the other flinch.

"sorry," he mumbled. "um, do you wanna talk about it? maybe it'll help..." san offered the stranger.

he heard a sigh escape the other, "i guess." and that's how san found himself seated by the unnamed boy listening to his story. "so, um, yeah.. today when i went back home, i- i... i found my boyfriend laying in the bed with my best friend." he started tearing up at the fresh thought of finding his seonghwa in bed with his best friend, yeosang. "why— how— h-how could they.. d-do t-that to m-me? did i mean nothing to them? did seonghwa enjoy it? i cant believe yeosang wouldn't have told me he liked seonghwa. he knew i would leave the world for him... he could've been honest. but, maybe he was right, though... i wouldn't give up seonghwa. i'm in love with him. i thought he was too." his sobs became louder as san heard footsteps headed towards them.

turning around, his eyes caught mingi's. the taller walked over to them, towering over them awkwardly. "sorry to interrupt your... uh, conversation. hope it brightens up for you by the way.." he said as he patted wooyoung's shoulder lightly. "but i'm here to tell san that i'm leaving with yunho, you don't need to drive me. i think it's best if you... stay here." he said as he glanced back to the weeping boy.

"yunho?" san said in confusion at the unfamiliar name. he watched as mingi's cheeks heated up after he stated the name.

"heh, yeah.. he's this cute guy who offered to drive me home. don't worry, though. he's a great guy.. it isn't his first time." mingi mumbled the last words, seeming inaudible, but san caught it. he smirked and laid back in his seat, giving his friend a thumbs up before returning to the stranger.

as mingi walked away, san turned to face the boy, whose sobs turned into sniffles. "as you probably heard, i'm san, and i'd like to walk you home..."

"wooyoung."

"yes, now shall we go, wooyoung?" the name rolled off his tongue smoothly. he received a small nod from the smaller, too tired to decline. the alcohol he drank was also started to affect him.
