"Jimin," Yuta called from the bedroom.

"I'm heating up the pan! Give me a second."

"Jimin." He repeated this time a bit quieter. It had to be serious.

This was not his usual tone. He put the pan to the side and walked over to the room. When he saw the envelope in Yuta's hands his heart sunk to his stomach.

"Why did you do it?" His voice was quiet and not angry which was worse. There was only disappointment.

"It's not what it looks like!" He quickly said in a panicky voice. Inside laid the cash he had gotten from dancing at the bar.

"How long have you been doing this behind my back? Is this how we've managed to get all this new stuff?" His eyes were filled with tears and they didn't stop coming.

"Yuta listen," He said slowly approaching him. "I'm only dancing and that's all. I'm trying to save money for us. I swear it's nothing else."

"So the night shift at the company was a lie? You've been doing this for months and been lying to my face?"

Jimin rushed to the mattress. He lifted it up and pulled out a small bag. "I was doing it for this," he said pulling out a paper with a picture of a wedding band on it. "I was planning to propose for your birthday, but I wanted a nice band. Something to show you how much I care."

Yuta looked down at the paper and shook his head in disappointedly. "Jimin, why can't you just understand I don't want money? I want you. You're so consumed in your hunger for paper that you're missing out on everything else."

"I want us to get out of this neighborhood and buy a big house. I want us to be happy and have money. Is that selfish of me? To want to give you the world?"

Jimin reached over to touch him and he stepped back. "I'm sorry. I can't keep doing this." He whispered wiping his own tears.

"What are you talking about?" He asked his heart racing.

"Your need for power and money...it's...it took over you. I don't even know you anymore."

"If you want me to quit I will. There's no need to end this." He said as he swallowed the knot in his throat.

"When you asked me about this months ago I told you I didn't want you to do it. You promised—you fucking promised and you lied. How can I trust you when you felt no remorse in lying?"

"Yuta listen to me. I—I was doing it for us. I swear if you want me to I will call her right now and tell her I quit. I did it for you. It was always for you...everything...everything I've done—" his throat felt like it was closing.

The vertigo hit him instantaneously. It was nauseating and the pain was excruciating. It felt like he was slowly dying and there was no stopping it.

Jimin abruptly woke up with a scream. His heart thumped loudly against his chest and there was sweat dripping from his forehead. It was a recurring nightmare he had from time to time.

When they first broke up it was almost every night. As the months went by it slowly stopped happening as frequently. It didn't mean that it was any less painful.

Within seconds of his scream Yoongi walked in ready to witness something. He had a hand on his gun and when he saw a sweaty Jimin sitting on the bed with tears in his eyes he slowly let go of the gun.

"I—I'm okay. It was just a nightmare. I'm okay." He repeated as he held up his hand trying to get the attention away from his face.

Yoongi observed for a few seconds and scanned the surroundings. There was no one here but him. His hand was shaking violently and the tears never stopped overflowing his eyes.
