Seokjin's POV

"Well well well, you sure do look pretty like this Seokjin!" Yoongi commented, that annoying smirk of his way too evident, taking in the sight of the mess the red wine had made of my clothing.

"And you look the best with your lips sealed. So if you're done with your taunt, please go catch someone else to have a conversation with. I'm sure you'd like some more socializing, Mr.Future Chairman." I said through gritted teeth, pushing past him to leave for my suite.

In the elevator, all I could think of was Jungkook's angry face that by chance I had taken a glance at, while Soobin was constantly apologizing. I really hope he doesn't chew the poor guy's head off. The last time I had witnessed him that angry was...

"Yah Kim Seokjin! Where are you? I only see Mr.Min, Dongmin and your Dad here." Jimin yells through the phone as soon as I pick up.

"Jimin-ah, I was there until like 10 mins ago, waiting for you. But I'm actually on the way to my room right now. Before you ask, there's a bit of a situation here, which I promise to explain once I'm back to the party." I rambled, getting outside the lift once it stopped on the 19th floor.

I walked straight to my suite, before I could encounter anyone else, and get myself some more embarrassment.

If my messy life wasn't enough, now my clothes are a mess too. Wow, Kim Seokjin, you're surely living well!

Jungkook's POV

Another day, another boring party, with all these snakes hiding behind the masks of humanity.

I never really enjoy gatherings like these. Reminds me how fake a person could be.

And I really do not thrive from having seen the face of someone, who's the reason I haven't slept in peace since the last eight years.

Looking at Kim Seokjin enjoying his life like nothing happened, makes me furious. I want to leave this bullshit of a gathering this instant, but I can't. Afterall, business is important to me.

It's not like my position and monetary status had been served to me on a gold plate. Unlike some people, I had put in my blood, sweat and tears into reaching where I was today.

"Sir? Sir?" I get back to reality, when Soobin nudges me, trying to gauge a reaction out of me.

"What is it Secretary Choi?!" I question, my eyes still following Seokjin's movements. I couldn't stop glaring at him. His presence was driving me mad, and I was unable to hide that fact.

We were in the same profession, so seeing him at common places wasn't a new thing, but everytime I saw him, I felt some kind of switch inside me going off. I hated him with a passion, and things like this just added the fuel to the fire.

"Sir I- I- I wante-"

"YOU WHAT?! Do you have speech issues, Secretary Choi? Should I fire you, and get someone else to do the job?!" I lashed out at him, because as much as I was irritated already, his stuttering wasn't doing any help.

"Sorry sir. I- I just wanted to ask if you wanted something to drink, or would like the main course to be served now. I'll not disappoint you again sir, please forgive me." He stated, looking like he had just seen a ghost.

Maybe I shouldn't have taken out my anger on him.

"Fine. Now go get me a bourbon. Quick." I said, making him give me a slight nod, and then quickly leave.

"Hey Kook! How have you been?" I turned to find Taehyung, who was now beside me, sipping from his glass of champagne.

"The past week had been good. Not so sure of now though. Forget about me, how have you been, Tae?" I muttered, giving him a quick hug.
