Sophie's Pov
It took us about 30 min to get to the post office. When we arrived we saw a huge line that most have went a mile long of girls with fake faces and short dresses showing a lot of cleavage. Then I looked down at my form and saw
Attention: we will be taking pictures for prince Austin selection
Now this made me grin, now I'll never get picked!! Josh seemed to notice me smiling so big and asked
"Why are you so happy"
I just ignored him and said "nothin" still grinning my head off.
"Sophie Rivers" the photo man screamed
I went up to me the chair still having my big grin and the photo snapped and I went home.

I was coming back from a party that I performed for. It was pitch black outside, then just my luck it started raining outside. I didn't have a rain coat or even a jacket so I started to jog back to our house. Then all the sudden I ran into a person and fell to the ground.
"Owwww" I said rubbing my elbow
"I'm so sorry" the stranger said
I looked up and saw a guy with blond hair in a nice rain coat. He most be a 2.
"It's okay" I said even though my ankle really hurt. He reached out his for me I took it gladly. When he tried to pull me up I winced in pain and my ankle went out I started falling again but he caught me before I hit the ground. "Thanks" I said.
"Here let's get you inside" he said
We went into a near diner and sat down. "So... what's your name" I asked while he asking a waiter for some ice. Once she went away he looked at me confused "what??" I said
"You don't know who I am??" He said
"No... We just met" I said he looked surprised.
then he said "I am... Oh...um... Guskt"
"What??"
"My name is Gus" he said more confidently
"Okay... Gus. My name is Sophie" I said while reaching out my hand. He looked confused. I grabbed his hand and then brought it to mine. Then shook my hand. We both smile at each other
"Okay Gus what do you like to do" I asked
"I like photography" he says
I started laughing.
"What's so funny?" He asked with question
"I like photography to" I said smiling.
Then he asked "what's your favorite food??" He said
"Vanilla milk shake but I haven't had one in a while" I said a little sad
Then he called the waiter over and with said "this most be changed" he said in a courageous voice trying his hardest not laugh.
"Two vanilla milk shakes please" he said to the waiter
While I was laughing. But then I stopped, he looked at me nervously and said
"What's wrong"
"The reason I haven't had one in so long is because my family doesn't have the money" I said a little sad
"That's okay I'll pay for it" he said trying to make me happy again
"You have already helped me enough" I said and I was about to leave my seat before he stopped me and said with a little hint of nervous
"But that's what friends are for" then will a more confidence says "and besides my family has plenty of money and if you leave now I will track you down spending even more money" he declared
I bit my lip I really enjoyed his company so I sat back down and smiled "okay" I said with my hands in the air sarcastically. He smiled at me then our milk shakes came out. We just started talking and laughing. About an hour later I looked at the clock "oh no"
"What" he said looking at the clock also. His eyes wide as much as mine. Then in we both started climbing out of our seats and walked outside the diner together. It was still raining . He most have saw me shiver because he took his coat and put it on me.
"Thanks" I said
"Your welcome" he said
Just then a limo pulled up and the driver says
"We have been looking all over for you" a little angry at him.
"Okay be there in a seconded" he said
Then he turned to me and I saw his beautiful brown eyes. He took my hand and kissed it!!
"Bye Sophie"
"Bye Gus" I say in awe then he went into his limo and drove away.
Then I saw I still had his coat and wondered if I would ever see him again to give him his coat...
But I guess right now I have to worry about my brothers not getting mad at me. But I really know they are just worried.

A Week Later
"The reports on" my dad screamed from the living room.
We all went into are little living room and sat down. I sat by my dad and josh.
"Good evening illea" said gravil
"Tonight we will be announcing the 35 girls that will be in Prince Austin selection" said gravil while the camera turned towards Prince Austin.
He had blond hair with dark brown eyes. He put on a perfect smile but you could tell he was nervous.
"Have you seen a peek of any of girls" asked gravil
"No I will be seeing them when the rest of illea sees them" said Prince Austin
King Maxon said a few stuff about the recent rebel attacks and they are still trying to delete the cast system. I was lost in my thoughts though. I was thinking whomever Prince Austin choose to be his wife would be the next queen of illea. Since Prince Austin was the heir. He has a twin sister princess Emily she looks kind. Then I looked back at the screen at the prince and saw his brown eyes, they reminded me of Gus. Oh Gus I really hope is see Gus again I think I might like him.I was snapped out of my thoughts when gravil say "here the 35 girls in Prince Austin's selection"
They had a little box in the top left corner to show the princes reaction.
"Kennedy Young caste 2"
After that I zoomed out. The princes expression didn't change at all the same old blank face if I wasn't wrong it was called a poker face
"Kylie Sweet caste 4"
"Sophie rivers caste 5"
"Riley chandler caste 3"
Wait what?!?! Everyone was just blank trying to sink in that I just got picked for the selction. But I was blank because of the princes reaction he smirked. What does that mean?! Are blank expression was soon interrupted by the phone ringing. That dang phone didn't stop for a whole week.
