Chapter 6

Sophie's dress ⬆️

Sophie's Pov
The palace was beautiful. When we entered everyone was running around. It was chaos as I would call it. Then all the sudden I was not by Kylie side anymore. I was in a chair with a guy saying how do you want to look.
"I want to look natural and innocent at the same time" I said. The guy smiled "of course" he said
I actually looked pretty and like myself. I thanked him and he guide me to a dressing room and said "pick any dress you want"
I went over to the rack of dresses and picked out the simplest one they had. It was champagne colored it went to my knees and had some lace.
I went to a room, people called the women's room. I saw Kylie a rushed over to her. She was wearing a salon colored dress and it was beautiful.
"You amazing" I said
"We'll you look more amazing"she said.
We started chatting. Then someone burst through the doors.
"Hi I'm Margaret and I'm your manners teacher during this selection" she said with authority.
"I'll also be showing your rooms now." She said guiding us out of the doors to the seconded floor.
"The third floor is off limits" she said.
She started calling names and pointing to rooms. My room was kind of cut of from the rest of the other girls. It had its own little hall way!!
When I came in I was greeted by 3 girls.
"Hi Miss. Sophie I'm Lauren this Ally and that's Kayla" said the first one.
They all looked about my age. Lauren was my head maid. They all looked very kind.
"Oh please no please don't call me miss." I said
"Okay mis- I mean Sophie" said Lauren we all giggled.
I looked around my bedroom. It was a ocean blue. The balcony was absolutely beautiful. I loved my room so much. It even had a piano in the corner of the room.
"Um can I have some flowers on the balcony" I said
Ally smiled "of course" she said.

I had dinner in my room today because the royal family was eating in the dining room.
Kayla came in with my dinner today. It was amazing I don't believe I have ever tasted something so good in my life. It was steak and potatoes and a ice cream sundae for Deseret. I chatted with my maids for a while I had to say Ally was more interesting she was more relaxed with me then Lauren and Kayla. After that I dismissed my maids. They refused but then it came down to ordering them to leave.
I took a warm shower which felt amazing. It took me a while but I did find a pair of pink shorts. I pulled on my sweatshirt and went over to my bed. It was to comfortable and I couldn't stand it. The room all the sudden started close in. I had to get out of here.
I ran into the halls not knowing where I was going. Then all the sudden I found myself lost . It started raining all the sudden. I went over to the window opened it a little then slid down crying. I don't know how I could make it through this stupid competition everything is to nice. The someone sat right next me.
"Our you alright" the person asked
"No" I said still crying. Without thinking I just started to cry into the persons shoulder. They wrapped there hands around me. We stayed like that for a few minutes until the guy stood up pulling me with them. At last I got a good look at the stranger. He was tall and muscular with blond and brown hair.
"Thank you" I said wiping off my tears.
"It's okay my love" he said. What did he just call me.
"Don't call me that who do you think you are" I said a little mad
"The prince of course" he said. My eyes must have been huge because he started laughing. I just cried in the prince shoulder and backed talked him.
"Hey do you remember a guy named Gus" he said
"Of course I do, how do you know Gus" I asked
"Because I am Gus" he said
