A boy, in a land far away, woke.

He opened his heavy eyelids and blinked rapidly, adjusting to the pale sunlight around him.

Wait...wasn't he with a Blue Steve earlier?

He was sure that he was.

But...now where was he?

Even though his sight was pretty blurred at the moment, he noticed on one side of him there was a forest, the trees thickly planted together, and it seemed as if one couldn't get through without squishing himself between the large branches.

He noticed how all the trees flowed silently into one another as if trying to push each other away.

On the other side of him, there were plains and large hills further in the distance, littered with yellow and blue and pink flowers.

And when he focused, he thought he saw the familiar glint of golden sands from a desert far off in the horizon in front of him.

The sky was white, and the dark gray clouds cheerfully moved in the air as if they carried no rain at all.

All the boy knew was he was in the Spirit World.

So you may ask, what did that mean exactly?

Well, it was a place where others go once they've died, got murdered, or killed. So basically, a place for dead people. Yep, he died! That was unfortunately-right.

He felt cold claws rake against his spine, sliding down quickly. He whipped around and nearly had a heart attack. There was a Steve, squatting behind him, staring at him. He, most likely, was the cause behind this.

I wonder who he is...and why he brought me here, the boy thought, weary of the new person as he turned to face him. This Steve was no ordinary Steve. He was a color, unlike the boy had seen before-Light blue. His eyes were so creepy. It was like icicles were piercing into his chest. He shivered, shaking off the feeling of being watched from the tree. "Hello," greeted the strange Steve, giving him a small smile and tilting his head a little, "What's your name?" He moved slightly closer, and the boy's eyes adjusted a bit more-so everything wasn't so blurry. He wore a beautiful sparkly sky blue scarf, slightly transparent. The Steve was wearing a darker shade of blue for his long sleeve shirt, detailed with bird-like figures that sank in the fabric, each colored different hues of light blue. He could see white feathers in the strange Steve's very baby blue hair, which was unusual. The boy hesitated. Should he actually speak to the odd Steve? Wasn't this an absolutely horrible idea? "Er, hiiii?" he responded hoarsely. He sounded more pathetic than he tried to be. He was afraid! He'd never seen anything like this guy before. "I'm-Rainbow Steve," he said with a moment's hesitation, "Hello, Rainbow Steve, I am Light Blue Steve. It's a pleasure to meet you," he took out a hand, waiting for Rainbow Steve to shake it. Rainbow Steve stared down his nose at Light Blue Steve's hand. He stared at it so intently as though expecting it to explode at any moment, "Why am I here?" Rainbow Steve burst out, clasping the Light Blue Steve's hand with both of his own. "To explain your body to you," he answered casually as though this was as normal as an afternoon walk. "Excuse me?" Rainbow Steve wrinkled his nose and squinted at the Steve in front of him-was he making fun of Rainbow Steve? Nobody makes fun of him and gets away with it! What world did he live in that let him get away with doing that to people? Would others let this behavior go? Because Rainbow Steve would not stand for it! Rainbow Steve was thinking so hard that he forgot where he was for a moment, lost in thought. "Allow me to explain," the Light Blue Steve stood up to his full height and stared down at Rainbow Steve with cold eyes that made him want to run and hide under a rock for his whole life. The glare was enough to send even Nightmare Steve running. He smiled, and shadows fell over his eyes as he walked in front of the sun's rays, "You part of me, Rainbow Steve."

"W-what?..What do you mea-?" He thought he'd imagined it, but he hadn't-large cracking sounds emitted from the Light Blue Steve as his arms rose, palms to the sky. Rainbow Steve quickly scrambled up and went back a few steps out of pure terror, his mouth open wide with fear.

Crack, crack, crack.

Went the Steve's back, until, suddenly, bulges appeared behind his shirt, and then they stretched, growing massive until they tore through the light blue cloth. These bulges extended, and feathers grew on the things that slowly became more massive. The Light Blue Steve was laughing, the sound horribly familiar as his pupils thinned, energy radiating off him. Large, white-feathered wings extended to their full length behind him, the sun ousting off them, casting shadows to fall over Rainbow Steve. He screamed and jumped back, vibrating with panic and quickly putting his hands to his face as though the threat would go away if he stopped looking at it. Arms surrounded him from both sides, Rainbow Steve realizing that the Light Blue Steve was hugging him. Shocked, he stood still, "You have them too," he said quietly to Rainbow Steve in his ear, pulling away and giving him a gentle and kind smile. So basically, that hadn't been expected-whatsoever. A random Steve shows up, apparently having somehow have dragged Rainbow Steve away from his friends and telling him that he was a part of Rainbow Steve AND saying that he has wings too. "But-I'm sorry if I have wings, why haven't they sprouted? Can someone BOTHER to explain that? I think they would not. Because having information is TOO MUCH FOR PEOPLE NOWADAYS," Rainbow Steve flung his hands in the air for dramatic effect and added a sigh at the end too, rolling his eyes. He had the urge to snap, unsure why. He never snapped. Something twisted in his stomach, but he ignored it. "I'm afraid to say we won't have much time," the Light Blue Steve said kindly, yet he sounded sad, "I can't explain anything to you. You, unfortunately, will have to figure that out yourself. I am so sorry.." The Light Blue Steve took a step back, frowning and looking away. "Wait! How do I have wings? I mean-that doesn't make sense!" Rainbow Steve held his hand out to the Light Blue Steve, blinking as he tried to catch up, time seems to slow down-

"It's because Rainbow Steve...I was one of the Steve's who helped create you."

It felt like something bashed him hard on the head. His arm lowered as it began to sink in, looking down to the ground. Maybe it didn't get to Rainbow Steve the first time he'd mentioned that he was a part of Rainbow Steve. It fit together perfectly, and he understood now.

At that exact moment, there was a massive noise that sounded more like shattering heard behind Rainbow Steve. "And there it is..." Light Blue Steve said with a bitter tone, looking to the sky with an unreadable expression. Rainbow Steve looked behind him, and to his horror, he saw the sky peeling itself away, as though someone was peeling paint away from a painting. Behind it was blinding white, as though it was nothing. Everywhere he looked was peeling away everything! All of it was peeling away! "What's happening?!" Rainbow Steve cried, grasping the Light Blue Steve's shirt as he fell to the ground, his limbs giving away and his energy disappearing within moments, "Goodbye, Rainbow Steve."

"I knew you weren't just any normal Steve..!" Rainbow Steve cried as the ground started to fade into white... "You're right," he said softly. The following sentence was hard to hear. Rainbow Steve's senses seemed to be dulling. Disappearing- "My true name is Elder Light Blue Steve,"

And Rainbow Steve fell into the blinding white, with one last glance at the Elder Light Blue Steve before everything-was gone.
