Meeting the Earl

You and Sebastian walked down the hall side by side, stopping at a closed door. Sebastian knocked, "Master, I have brought the young lady as requested."

Your mind started to go through a jumble of thoughts as you were caught off guard by what Sebastian said; A-as requested...But why?! I thought-... could I really have failed in fooling Ciel?...No...I must have been asked for something else...but what could that possibly be?

Sebastian side glanced at you looking for any abnormal expression, but you kept a straight face.

From the inside the closed room you heard the voice of the English Phantomhive Earl, "Come in, I wish to speak to her."

You sweat dropped nervously as you and Sebastian stepped inside the room. There in front of you was the one and only Ciel Phantomhive. You looked directly into Ciel's eye, as the other one was of course covered by an eye patch. Ciel looked back at you, his expressionless face was unwavering.

Then he spoke," So you're the maid who people are curious about...I am glad to see you accepted the position as a maid of the Phantomhive manor. I have heard many good things about you, and so I intend that you work alongside my butler; Sebastian."

Your reaction was limited, as you didn't want to show weakness in front of the young master. You nodded, making it seem as if you were as calm as ever...but you weren't. In fact, you were ecstatic, as you only ever dreamed of working alongside Sebastian, serving Ciel, and aiding him in times of danger. Now you'd be able to finally (and hopefully soon) show the true skill you specialize in.

You were snapped out of your train of thought by Ciel's voice," Now then, I want you to start now...I want you to go and make me some tea, Sebastian will accompany you to show you how I like my tea."

You nodded, giving a small bow, then leaving the room, Sebastian following close behind. You made your way to the kitchen and saw a blond-haired man holding a blowtorch. You heard Sebastian behind you give a sigh of annoyance, as he walked past you and toward the blond-haired man. Sebastian snatched the blow torch out of the man's hands just as he was about to turn it on. You knew the blond-haired man as Baldroy. You watched as Sebastian scolded Baldroy for attempting to use "exotic methods" once again for cooking the meals.

Sebastian sighed once again as he put the blowtorch in a cupboard, then turn towards you, "Now...Shall we make tea?"

You nodded, and the both of you made your way to where the tea was held. Sebastian pointed out the various teas, many of which you have never seen before, most likely being greatly expensive. You followed every step Sebastian gave you, at one point having your hands grabbed by Sebastian, to prevent you from getting burned by boiling water. Your eyes met his, the moment seemed to drag on for eternity. Until...;-; it ended and Sebastian let go, grabbing a towel and wiping up the water.

You tried to ignore the butterflies that were still fluttering around in your stomach from the recent moment with the handsome butler, but you couldn't. Although you did manage to impress Sebastian by making the tea exactly how he did on the first try.

The two of you made your way out of the kitchen, each of you holding a tray with the teas. You entered the room where Ciel was, Sebastian, coming in after you. You place the tray down on the far side of Ciel's desk, taking the tea kettle along with the teacup, placing the teacup in front of Ciel, then pouring tea into the cup, perfectly mimicking the way Sebastian would serve tea. You felt Sebastian watching closely trying to catch any mistakes that you would never do.

Yea...that's right! I'm just as good of a servant as you Sebastian! And soon you'll see just how much of an asset I am to helping Ciel achieve his personal goals...meaning I'll be helping you too, and then I can either leave this world or stay with you for eternity...

"Well done y/n, this tea is perfect," Ciel said after taking a small sip from the cup you served him. "You may now leave, and are free to do whatever you like until I need you again"

"Yes, young master." You said while doing a small bow before exiting the room.

You checked the time on a nearby clock and realized it was already 8 pm.

Wow....time went by quickly...I best be getting as much rest as I can before I'm called again by Ciel.

You made your way to your sleeping quarters, closing the door behind you. You undressed out of your uniform and got into a silk nightgown (courtesy of the manor). You climbed into the soft welcoming bed, snuggling under the covers, closing your eyes, and drifting off to sleep...
