Reading her book peacefully under the orchard tree, far from her familiar yard, much farther than where she was restrained, she licked her finger tips and turned the pages seamlessly.
What a pretty little thing.
"I know you're there." She stated blankly, not looking away from her book.
"From here or not, someone must have taught you staring is rude."
"Yes but, not if the source of attention is as stunning as you."
"A charmer as always, Loki." She wore a small smirk now, tucking the hairs past her ears and out of her way.
"But really, you should be going. I'm sure Thor is looking for his accomplice, wouldn't you say so?" Shutting her book, she rose to her feet smoothly, collecting herself before starting her long walk home.
"I could say the same about you." I suddenly spoke up.
She spun back on her heals, matching my gaze.
"I'm afraid I don't follow. I am returning home now." She wore a proud smirk.
"No, you aren't. See, as I assume you'd want your secret to be safe with me. I mean, a rebel Valkyrie? You shouldn't be living as far away as you do. Slumming it in the square instead of staying in your assigned corridors."
Her face dropped, iris' darkening and her eyebrows furrowing gently.
This time it was my turn to wear a proud smile.
I had spent weeks just studying this mysterious girl who had taken my secret reading space under the orchard tree. But it was only yesterday I saw her marking.
"I assume its old, its faded into your skin after all. Or, did you try to remove it?" I stepped closer, approaching the stone cold warrior in front of me.
"You shut your mouth." She demanded.
"I mean, to be sculpted for war, to train until you're limp. You're whole existence is centered around bloodshed and death. I could almost pity you."
...
Her hand clamped around my throat, pressing against my vocal chords roughly.
"Shut up!" She boomed, teeth clenched, book tossed away down to the grass and mud.
"You shut up." She quieted down, loosening her grip enough to prevent herself from cutting my airways off.
I snickered at her harshness.
So the pretty little lady has a temper. Not far from her roots.
"Odinson, Laufeyson. The mouth of a liar and a prick." She released me, scurrying off to retrieve her book, which I reached right before she could get a grip around the spine.
"while I may be a liar, and yes a prick, I am not an Odinson." I scoffed.
"As long as you wear that horny helmet upon your head, you are an Odinson." She replied, storming off towards the square.
"I remember her." I stared back at Mobius, then back at the projection.
"Y/n, Y/l/n." I finished.
"Yes," He sighed.
"You two have quite the history together." Mobius smiled and leaned back.
"Personally one of my favorite love stories."
