Venus was balling her eyes out. She couldn't help but remind herself of her doubts about Ghost over and over again. Making her more upset by the minute. Her friends were trying very hard to console her, but were afraid of making the situation worse. And that was when Flora piped up from her spot at the table.
Flora slowly began to tell Venus what happened to Ghost. She told her, and Venus's friends that they ventured to the deepest parts of Hallownest and the MOST sacred place called Godhome.
Flora: "Do you understand so far?"
Venus was in shock. She had no idea how or why this happened.
Venus: "I… I don't know what to say or even think in this case." She held her head in her hands.
Drake: "To think that all those talks that the merchants were yappin' about was true. Normally, their stories are just as credible as moms and housewives gossip." He quipped.
Leena: "I have to agree, this IS quite shocking." Leena had to sit down to process the thought of there actually being a bug that has the powers of that of the equivalent of God Himself.
As the conversation was getting more and more interesting, Annie grabbed her book and began taking notes for some of her books that she wants to publish in the future.
Mona was partially paying attention during the story. Mainly because she was exacting her revenge on Darren. You see, while he was knocked out, Mona hogtied him and then proceeded to hang the ropes holding him onto the rafters in the grand hall of the orphanage. She was going to hang him on the chandelier in the dining room. But she thought that the chandelier was too good for him. After she was done, she peeked at Annie's notes to catch up on what was happening.
Mona: "Oh honey, I'm so sorry that this happened! None of us could've really predicted this." She tried to comfort Venus as Venus's golden tears once again began to spring up.
Flora was once again astonished at how she could do that without her having the Infection. So she asked.
Flora: "Venus? I know you are in an upset state right now but how are you crying Golden Tears?"
Venus looked confused at first, but then realized what she meant.
Venus: "Well to be entirely honest, I'm not sure. I've always been able to do it. Before I became an orphan, my grandfather told me that, when I was still a larva, he found me in an ancient looking tomb that's across the south side of the Black Desert. He said that I was his little treasure and that's why I cried golden tears. But back then, I was young and naive. And the kids kept teasing me on how I was so different from them. I think he just told me this because I was upset from the bullying. As to the logical reason I do, well, I'm not sure. My grandfather studied this till his dying breath, but he never was able to figure it out. But Annie here is a big fan of his work! So she volunteered to pick up where he left off."
Flora: "And what did your Grandfather do exactly?"
Venus: "Well, I remember he would do certain tests on me. Nothing harmful and honestly he did this constantly. Studying my behavior and whatnot. It just became something that seemed normal to me."
Flora: "What did he learn about you?"
Venus: "Well, this is where my memory gets funny. Sometimes my memories as a young child are kinda fuzzy. Not only that, but my grandfather was a very, how should I say, an interesting bug gentleman. He was very smart and when it came to his work, he was very serious about it. So some of his notes don't even make sense to me. Annie here, is probably the only one intelligent enough to even decipher half of his notes."
