He was waiting inside the truck. Excited to see his new house in Littleroot Town. He will meet new friends, new people, and especially, catch more Pokemon.
When he got out of the truck, his mom was waiting just beside the door.
"Cadie, we're here honey! It must be tiring riding with our things in the moving truck. Well, this is Littleroot Town. How do you like it? This is our new home! It has a quaint feel, but it seems to be an easy place to live, don't you think? And, you get your own room, Cadie! Let's go inside." Mom said.
The living room was nice. Except for the Vigoroths carrying the stuff they moved. Cadie's room was nice too. There's a PC, a big carpet, a bed, a GameCube, and a clock.
Cadie set the clock to 5:37. After that, he went downstairs and talked to his mom. His mom was watching TV.
"Cadie look! It's Petalburg Gym! Maybe dad will be on TV!" Cadie watched, but the program has ended. "Oh, well, that's fine. Hey, why don't you go out and start making friends? Don't worry about me, I'll be here."
"Okay mom. Whatever you say." Cadie kissed his mom on the cheek.
Cadie was about to go to the lab when he saw a house next to theirs. He decided to go there.
He went inside. The living room was similar to their house. Except for the pink carpet.
"Oh hello! Who are you?" A lady in a pink apron walked up to him. He also noticed that there was a child near the TV.
"Um hi. I'm Cadie. Just moved here."
"Oh! So you're our new neighbor? Wow! My daughter is upstairs. She is always excited to meet new people and make friends with them. You can go upstairs if you like." The lady said. She was nice for an aged woman.
"Uh, thanks." Cadie went straight upstairs.
The room was empty. Like the living room, the girl's room is also identical to his room. Of course, his carpet was blue. Their carpet was pink (Are they obsessed with pink?). There was a Pokeball beside the bed. Cadie was about to touch it when...
"Hey! Who are you and what are you doing here?" Cadie jumped. He wasn't expecting the girl to sneak up behind him and shout. "Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you. But who are you?"
"Chill! I'm Cadie. You know, your new neighbor." Cadie offered his hand for a shake.
The girl shook Cadie's hand. "Hi, I'm May. Nice to meet you! My mom told me your move was today. You came too early so I didn't get to prepare a Welcome! banner for you."
"It's okay. I'm not a celebrity or something." Wow. May is going to be his friend for sure. "So, you like Pokemon right?"
"Yeah. How'd you know?"
"Pokeball." May looked at the Pokeball .
"Oh. Wait! I forgot!" May opened her PC and did some stuff.
"You forgot what?" Cadie looked at the PC to see what she was doing.
"I was supposed to help dad catch some wild Pokemon." May was serious. She is. Cadie saw May transferring Pokemon.
"So, I'm gonna go now." Cadie slowly walked backwards.
"Hm? Sure! See you later!" May waved.
Cadie came out of May's house. Completely forgetting the Lab, he went to Route 101. When he was there, a child was blocking his way. He also a guy in a lab coat being chased by a Pokemon.
"What's happening?" Cadie asked the child
The child turned to him with worried eyes. "That man is in trouble! I don't know what to do! Can you help him?"
"Sure!" Cadie ran towards the man.
"Hey! Help! There are Pokeballs in the bag! Get one and distract this Pokemon! Hurry!" The man shouted.
Cadie opened the bag and saw three Pokeballs. Each Pokeball has a label.
The first Pokeball was labeled, 'Treeko, the Grass Pokemon'.
The second Pokeball was labeled, 'Torchic, the Fire Pokemon'.
The last Pokeball was labeled, 'Mudkip, the Water Pokemon'.
Choice. He had to make a choice. He was interested in Torchic but he wanted a Water Pokemon.
"Hey! Hurry up!" The man shouted again.
Cadie had no time. Cadie picked a Pokeball and threw it at the ground. The Pokemon that was chasing the man faced the Pokemon that Cadie picked.
"Mudkip! Tackle!" Mudkip obeyed Cadie. Mudkip tackled the Pokemon.
The Pokemon ran away. The man stood up and cleaned himself.
"Wooh! That was close! Thank you, young man. I'm Professor Birch. What is your name?"
"Professor Birch." Cadie muttered. "I'm Cadie."
"Oh so you're our neighbor?" Cadie was tired hearing and answering that question.
"Yes." Cadie nodded.
"Very well! Follow me." Professor Birch went to the lab, Cadie followed.
The lab was big. Well duh, it's a lab. Shelves, Computers, and other guys in a lab coat.
"So Cadie, I heard so much about you from your father. Do you have a Pokemon yet?"
"Uh, aside from Mudkip, I have none." Cadie pulled his pockets out.
"Hmm. Okay, since you saved me from that wild Pokemon earlier, I would like you to have Mudkip!" Prof Birch spread his arms like he wanted a hug.
"What? Really? Uh, thank you!" Cadie hugged Prof Birch.
"We got a hugger!" Cadie stopped hugging Prof Birch. "If you take good care of that Pokemon, you will be an extremely good trainer. My daughter, May is also studying Pokemon. How about you go and see May?"
"Of course Professor!" Cadie was happy af
"Good! While you're at it, show her what it means to be a trainer!"
Cadie started an adventure with his first Pokemon.
