On the next week, the Task Force had performed a lot of night raids involving Grace and the remnants of Rapier Team. Everyone in the team couldn't believe a professional like Bill could have gotten shot dead, despite the fact these guys have caught a lot of important terrorists, who had been interrogated.
But they and their international partners were determined to make sure Bill's sacrifice won't have been in vain, as were Lieutenant-Colonel Victoria Robinson and Colonel Dawn Perez. Grace was now discovering what it was to be a special operations member.
In the headquarters, Colonel Perez and Lieutenant-Colonel Robinson were watching the control screen when an intelligence officer interrupted them and went to them with some sheets of paper stuck on a paperclip.
« Ma'am. You should see this. We found something in the prisoners' computers and cellphones, these things provided great details about the terrorist ring. Among them is a guy named Don Totges. » the officer said.
« Thanks. Oh, and I can see we got pictures of the guys. » Colonel Perez said as she took the paperclip.
The officer saluted Perez and exited the room before the colonel carefully read the notes on the paperclip while writing down some coordinates on a sheet of paper. Knowing the colonel wanted them to know something without telling anyone else, Robinson and the other leaders looked at the piece of paper.
The paper read, « Tell the Australian, New Zealander, German, American and French assault teams to gather in the courtyard, one team of each. It's time to finish the job. »
Robinson nodded before taking her radio and going outside the building, where she called in the Australian, French, New Zealand, American, German and French assault teams in the courtyard.
Once Grace, Dan, Rick, Greg, Brock and their fellow operatives were in the courtyard, Colonel Dawn Perez went towards them before stopping at the center of the improvized school circle. Grace knew something would be up, since such a briefing happened once in a blue moon.
« Alright, we know from the other prisoners that the terrorist mastermind named The Cleric is located in a rectangular three-floor building south of an orchard. Local cops are aware of the information, but they doubt they can arrive on time to arrest him. That's why we come in. Oh, I'll be coming with you. » Perez said as she took her equipment.
Grace and the other operatives involved in the operation then took their equipment and weapons for their night operation. Grace couldn't help but think as to why Colonel Perez took her rifle and came with them on such a dangerous operation. But once Colonel Perez had something in mind, nothing could stop her.
After taking their whole equipment, the four involved teams then rushed to waiting Australian special operations UH-60M helicopters, whose pilots already started the engine while Perez herself ran to a French special operations AS532 helicopter, which would be her command helicopter.
All of the helicopters then took off and flew towards their target, which was at an undisclosed location.
