Once on location, the special operatives including Hope stopped their vehicles far away from the stopped police cars and saw local policemen cowering behind their cars. Hope dismounted the armored and heavily-armed SUV and saw five local cops laying dead near the building where the hostage crisis was happening. Adrian and two other operatives kept manning the roof-mounted machine guns on the SUVs while Ernie, Anthony, Ajay, Adrian, the other special operators and Hope dismounted the vehicles while taking cover behind the wrecked police cars.
As he took cover behind a wrecked police car, Ernie asked a local cop, "Hey, what's the situation here?"
"Well, we need you because our first responders have gone silent. The terrorists inside the building are heavily armed with assault rifles, rocket launchers and machine guns. They locked down the entire building and barricaded the windows with wooden planks." the cop replied.
"Means we'll have to handle the job ourselves. Ajay, stay with me outside. I'll be your spotter. Hope, go inside with Aaron and Anthony." Ernie unhappily said.
Hope nodded before motioning Aaron and Anthony to accompany her inside the building. The trio then sneaked to the building using the destroyed vehicles as cover while the snipers set their position on the top of the armored SUVs to provide cover for their fellow spec ops members. From behind a burned car, Hope saw the terrorists had left only the main entrance open and silently reached for her radio.
"Okay guys. Snipers really should aim at the main entrance of the diner." Hope whispered.
As Hope said this, Ajay and the two other snipers aimed their scoped bolt-action rifle at the main entrance of the diner. Then, Ajay spotted a terrorist armed with a scoped G3A4 rifle exiting the diner before opening fire at the local cops while two others exited from the back door.
"Okay. Distance: 750 meters. Wind: 4 kilometers per hour. Humidity: 10%." Ernie said.
Ajay then adjusted his scope and said, "Okay. All set. Ready to fire."
"Fire when ready!" Ernie announced.
Ajay then fired his Barrett MRAD rifle and hit the terrorist dead just as the latter reloaded. The two other snipers also fired their Arctic Warfare rifle at the other two terrorists and killed them before these two gunmen could reach cover. Just then, Hope, Aaron and Anthony reached the front door before tossing a stun grenade each.
At the command post, Colonel Tara Burns saw Hope, Anthony and Aaron enter the building right after the stun grenades exploded. Then, on each of the three operative's camera, she saw the trio shoot the last three terrorists dead before injuring the man who seemed to be their leader by shooting him in the leg.
Thanks to a link with the operative's helmet camera, Colonel Burns saw Hope approaching from the single terrorist still alive while Anthony and Aaron were covering her before pointing her M4A1 carbine at the gunman's face. The gunman had no other choice but to surrender. Hope quickly handcuffed the man before forcing him up and taking him in custody while the other TF Cobra operatives involved stormed the diner and took up every weapons and every dead body on the scene to use them as evidence against the terrorists.
As Hope prepared to put the terrorist inside one of the special operations SUVs, one of the local cop let out his pistol and shot the terrorist dead, only to be killed by Aaron and Anthony. The local cop was actually enraged by the shooting of one of his friends and wanted to avenge them. This incident quickly soured the relationships and cooperation between Task Force Cobra and the local law enforcement.
Hope and the rest of Buzard team then boarded their vehicles before driving back to base alongside their American and Irish colleagues. Hope was angry that local cops would let one of theirs kill an unarmed prisoner while the others wondered as to why that guy did what he did.
