Venice, Italy
January 22nd, 1936
A small girl of about 2 was sitting quietly in her room, playing with a stuffed cat. She was confused as to why Mrs. Esposito (A/N: Castle, anybody?) from next door was staying with her. Where was her mama? All she knew was that Mama had started acting unusually, then Papa had showed up, and all of a sudden, she was alone with their next-door neighbor. Where had her family gone?
"Bianca," Mrs. Esposito called. "Come here please." The girl stood up, and toddled into the kitchen, where Mrs. Esposito was waiting for her.
"Let's get your jacket on." the women said. "We're going to see your mama."
*Time Lapse*
As the two approached one of the many doors in the oddly clean building, Mrs. Esposito knocked gently on the door.
"Come in!" someone called from the other side. The woman opened the door, and set Bianca on the floor.
"MAMA!" the girl shouted, and ran as fast as her little legs would take her to her mother, who was lying on a bed with white sheets. Maria di Angelo lifted her daughter into her arms, and they held one another. A man in black -Hades- standing next to the bed put his hand on her shoulder, and gently stroked the little girl's hair. She looked up, and smiled at him. "Hi Papa."
"Would you like to meet your little brother?" Maria asked. Bianca nodded. Hades lifted his daughter up, and brought her to a small cradle in the corner of the room. There lay a baby boy, with the same black hair and olive skin as his mother and sister. He probably had their brown eyes as well. He was fast asleep, and wrapped in a blue blanket. Bianca was in awe at the tiny life form in front of her. When her father whispered a name in her ear, she said two words:
"Hello, Nico."
Awwwwwww, baby Nico. :-) The picture either at the top or side, depending which version you're using, is a picture I found on Pinterest of Bianca and Nico back in the '40's. Next chapter (which I've already started) we'll start to get into the actual story a bit. I'll have a few lines from Bianca's death, then a bit from the months afterward, and then present-day. Peace out guys!
