Long Ago - Time Unknown

Amira was laying on her stomach, Gunmar at her side with his nose tucked under his arm as he slept peacefully.

There were a few light crystals around the room but it wasn't super bright.

"Dad! Dad! Dad! We got to go! Wake up!"

Bular pranced in the room and leapt onto the raised nest, "Dad," Bular stood on his fours with his paws on Gunmar's arm, "Daaaaaad. . ." Bular drawled out.

"Your son's awake," Amira said to her mate without opening her eyes.

"Dad! Dad-" Bular cried out again, "Before sun fall he's your son," Gunmar groaned, "Dad!"

"Dad, come on, dad!" Bular grabbed onto Gunmar's ear, pulling it before losing grip and flipping off his father, "Eek!" Bular shook his head as he stood back up on his fours.

Gunmar made no reaction and seemed to fall back asleep. . .

Before Bular headbutted Gunmar in the face, making Gunmar pop his eyes open with annoyance, "You promised," Bular pouted.

"Okay, okay, I'm up, I'm up," he sat up and yawned like a lion.

"Yeaaah!" Bular pranced off out of the cave to the outside world,

The moon glowed from above as Bular wagged his tail, "Come on!"

Gunmar followed on his fours as Amira smiled widely as she watched her son and mate walk off.

Gunmar picked up Bular by his scruff with his mouth, "EEK! Watch my scruff-YIPE!" Bular yelped as Gunmar began walking up the edge of the cave, "Dad! I can walk on my own!"

Gunmar grumbled as he pulled himself onto the edge, placing down Bular, "Your mother would have my hide if you fell,"

"Ma said I can't come up here!" Bular replied.

"Alone, she said you can't come up here, alone."

"Oh. . .That makes more sense," the young Bular grinned.

"Enjoying the view?"

"Yeah!" Bular smiled widely, "It's beautiful from up here!"

"Except, when your closer, it's more beautiful," Gunmar picked up a Firefly, it glowed in his hand as he held out his palm to Bular, "The closer you look, the more beautiful the world is. From afar, it's gorgeous, but close you see what makes life beautiful,"

Bular took the firefly from his father and looked at it, "Oop-" The firefly flew off his hand and onto his nose, Bular became cross-eyed as he looked at the firefly on his nose.

Gunmar chuckled, Bular giggled as the Firefly flew away, "So. . . What are you doing today?" Bular asked, raising his whelp head to look at his father.

Gunmar smiled softly, "Well, I am taking furs from the Huldru to the Gaugawumps today,"

"You are awesome, dad."

"Not really, it's just my job to be a trade troll, I was born into this life and I'll die in it." He sat down.

"But it's never boring, at all, sometimes I take a break and speak with the other folk as they tell stories. Sometimes I even am taught their trades, like how to make those pots that the Volcano Trolls love so much." Gunmar smiled, "Never boring at all, and when your older, I know you'll be great."
