Chapter 15

Abhi was numb hearing all this. His eyes were wide opened. He lost balance and was about to fall down. But Sid held him.

Sid: Abhi. Tu theek hai na?

Abhi: Yrr Vaishu ke saath itna sab ho gia. Tbhi mein sich rha tha ki wo chuo chup kyo hai. Her smile wasn't real. The way she was. A lively girl. Har time bolte rehne wali. Jisko daant kr chup krate the aur phir shuru ho jati thi. Smile to uski kbhi jati hi nhi thi. Wo ladki hasna aur bolna hi bhool gyi

Sid sighed.

Sid: Dekh I know iske baad tu di ko kbhi accept nhi krega. Koi bhi nhi krega. Chahe glti ho ya na ho uski. Log thoda samjhenge

Abhi: Tereko kisne bola?

Sid: Hmm?

Abhi: Mein un logo mein se hu tujhe aesa lgta hai?

Sid: Abhi aesa nhi hai. I mean...

Abhi: (cuts him) Dekh Sid mujhe nhi pta logo ka ke log kya khenge. Aur na mujhe iss baat se koi bhi farak pdta hai. Logo ka kaam hai bolna wo bolte rhenge. Mujhe bass itna pta hai that I have loved Vaish and I will love her forever aur isme uski galati nhi hai. And I still love her wo jaisi bhi hai. Aur mein usko firse waisi hi bnaunga

Sid's lips curved into a big smile. He hugged Abhi tighly.

Sid: Thank you so much

Abhi: Chal maaroonga

They both chuckled. They talked for sometime and came home. They all sat together and did chit chat. Abhi purposely sat beside Vaish but she moved a bit to other side. Abhi understood she is uncomfortable and needs time.

After dinner, Avu picked up a few utensils and went to kitchen. Vaish picked up rest. As she turned, Abhi came there by chance. She panicked and utensils fell from her hand. But before, she could fall Abhi held her. Both were looking in each other's eyes.

Vaish's hands were on his shoulders. Abhi's arms were around her waist. But suddenly Vaish remembered her past. Prem and her before marriage. She stood up looking here and there. Abhi helped her in picking utensils from down. He tried saying something but she quickly went to the kitchen ignoring him. He sighed.

Next day

Sid was at work. Avu was putting wet clothes to dry. Vaish was in kitchen. Abhi came to drink water. He was drinking water and staring at Vaish. She was cutting vegetables but was lost in her own thoughts and Abhi was lost in her. She suddenly screamed. Abhi came out of Vaishland and ran towards her.

Her hand was bleeding. He held her hand and blew it. They were so close that she could even feel her breath on her face.

Abhi: Dekh kar kaam kia kro na. Lag gyi dekho

They suddenly saw how close they are. Abhi left her immediately. They both have awkward silence.

Abhi: I..I will bring first aid kit

Vaish: Arre nhi chahie

But before, she could complete he left. He came with first aid kit. He applied medicine and did dressing.

Vaish: Chalo ab mein khana bnaloo

Abhi: Aese? Chot lagi hui hai

Vaish: Arre chhoti si chot hai. Theek ho jaegi

Abhi: Nhi

Vaish: To khana kaise bnega?

Abhi: Umm

Vaish: Hmm?

Abhi: Mein bnaoonga

Vaish: Tumko aata hai?

Abhi: Tum btati jaoo mein bna doonga

Vaish: Ok if you say

Vaish sat on slab and Abhi was doing oops sorry trying to do what she was saying.

Vaish: Achha ab aata goondna hai

Abhi: Kya?

Vaish: Aata? Wo wha se nikalo

Abhi: Achha

Vaish: Hnn ab pani lo. Daalo isme

Abhi put water.

Vaish: Arre arre bass. Bass kro ab. Isko aese krna hai

She signed him and told how to do it. His hands were covered it. It was so sticky.

Abhi: Arre kya hai ye?

He rubbed the sweat of his forhead but that stick to his forhead. He tried to remove it but it slowly covered most of his face. Vaish looked at him with open mouth and started laughing. Abhi looked at her irritatingly but smiled seeing her laughing. She was laughing whole heartedly after ages.

Abhi moved towards her and rubbed his flour covered hand on her face. She started punching him. Soon both were covered with flour and laughing at each other.

Avu suddenly came in kitchen and saw them. She felt extremely happy seeing Vaish.
