❥IT WAS OCTOBER 31ST, also known as the day of halloween, and you were in your bathroom next to kiyoko preparing for the night ahead of you. she had the curling iron plugged in, waiting for it to heat up as you smeared a natural shade of lipstick against your lips.

"y/n, can you help me with my hair?" kiyoko turned over to you. you simply gave a nod in response, setting your bottle of lipstick down before picking up the hot wand.

kiyoko had always been a queen in your eyes, which made you suggest the idea of her being one for halloween. and thanks to your brilliant idea the matching costumes between her and ryu were decided—a king and a queen.

as for you, you had decided on a skimpy witch costume that flattered your body a little too well—a black bodysuit paired with a black witch hat—it was perfect for this kind of event since it was halloween; the only time of year a girl could dress like a total slut and no other girl could say anything about it!

you took strands of kiyoko's hair and twirled it around the iron.

"you know, most of the boys from the volleyball team are gonna be there tonight." kiyoko kept her head still as she spoke. "and they have an important volleyball tournament tomorrow morning. you have to remind me to remind them not to do anything stupid."

"are you serious?" you couldn't help but laugh at the sound of kiyoko's words, "that's lame. you guys shouldn't go in the first place, then."

"we'll be fine. unless someone dies or something." she replied sarcastically, though you could obviously tell she wasn't too worried about the situation, "i just hope their coach doesn't find out."

and before you could even reply to those words, kiyoko had changed the subject, "hey! you just reminded me—do you remember hitoka from last weekend?"

"what about her?"

"i saw her yesterday during class! she never told me that she was at karasuno..." kiyoko paused before continuing. "we spent break together since ryu was busy with his friends."

"and you've never seen her around before?"

"never!" the girl exclaimed. "she's really chill, too. maybe a little too much..."

"i'm finished." you set the curler down, giving one last look at her hair before unplugging it. "will she be there tonight?"

"yeah. i talked her into going." kiyoko grabbed her hairbrush. "even though parties aren't her thing. i told her i'd introduce her to some of the guys...she doesn't have many friends."

"or maybe you just have too many." you grinned, adjusting the strap on your shoulder before picking up your witch hat. "seriously—it's like you know that whole damn school." you left the bathroom.

"there's nothing wrong with being popular!" kiyoko huffed jokingly, finishing her preparations in the bathroom before exiting behind you.
